ParticipantYes they will be uploaded. I wasn’t able to get the connection before I left The Track on Sunday, but Jim is going to get them uploaded. Sorry for the delay.

ParticipantSorry for the delay in response (and getting the new rules printed)
Here is how the new book reads in that section……
(this still may have gaps for any class that is in the club series, but not the CSC)9.3.2 Rear Number Plate Background. Karts must run a rear number plate with the appropriate background color. This requirement will be enforced, and is in an effort to make it possible to more easily distinguish what class a kart is running in. This is helpful when there is more than one class running on the track at any given time.
9.3.2.1 Background color requirement by class:
125 Shifter ? Yellow
125 Spec Shifter? Blue
125 Masters Shifter ? Black
Junior 80 Shifter ? Yellow
Novice 80 Shifter? Red
Tag Masters – Yellow
Tag 4 Cycle – White
Tag Senior – Red
Tag Junior – Blue
Mini Max – Yellow
Jr 1 Honda – Red
Jr 1 Comer 80 – Black
Kid Kart ? Yellow(note: the Tag 4 Cycle is WHITE, not Black – sorry if I messed anyone up)

ParticipantIf you need them today, and feel like a drive north to Fort Collins, my husband, Ken, says he probably has some. Just give us a call.

ParticipantI am sorry I don’t have all of the different track fees. I will try to gather them together.
Jim and Brad are at the KartExpo, so not sure when you will get responses from them.
I doubt that the CSC race entry fee will go up, probably still be $65 for the entry portion at each track. There will be an additional fee to rent a transponder, probably $10 or so. That is to encourage folks to buy their own. I don’t think owning your own will be required, but as has been stated, the ones the tracks have now are not doing so well. So, you take your chances, and have to pay attention if you rent one. Anyone who had to deal with sharing or charging a transponder on race day can tell you what a pain it is. It definitely makes race day easier if there are enough fully charged transponders for everyone.
As for pit space fees…I can look up what it was last year at each, around $20 per spot per track, and will probably be close to that this year. And extra pit passes 8-10.
With IMI repaving, I would expect that his Test and Tune fee will go up.
The Tech sheet is available on the Forms section of the CSC site, and the schedule has been corrected on that link (was there all along, only my link said htm and the page html). Silly mistake that was easy to fix. If you notice things on either the CSC site or TCK, please send a quick email and I can get it fixed.
I am working on the rulebooks. There have been some last minute things coming in, like the new Jr1 Honda rules, and so on, so that is what caused the delay. If you have any specific question on a tech issue, please let me know. For you newbies…. last year’s book is still available on the CSC site, and will give you a good idea of what to expect.
The Newbie section is very close to being online, but certainly anyone with ideas for it should email me.
That’s it for now….
Have a Great Day!!!

ParticipantWhat about transponder mounting location? RMax is on back of the seat, but we have always run CSC and club series with the transponder 10″ behind the kingpin. So will the entire IMI/The Track be required to be behind the seat or ??
Thanks,
Angieby the way, just saw on http://www.amb-it.com that they are backordered 2 weeks.

ParticipantT, thanks for volunteering. If you notice, there are not seperate Novice and Pro 125 Shifter classes, so are you still interested? It would be for 125 Shifter (which is the old Novice and Pro combined – no more experience designation)
Thanks,
AngieAngie MacEwen
ParticipantJust double checked with Brad about the FWB issue…. they will be allowed for the Sr and Masters classes, with no weight difference.

ParticipantIs this part of the DVD that is being made? When can we get it?
Good stuff.

ParticipantIt will also include the classes that are not CSC. So anyone wanting to represent the Briggs Mod and Jr 2 classes in the IMI/TT series, let me know.

ParticipantSorry Mikey, didn’t mean to overlook the fact you volunteered at the meeting. I didn’t include that Kurt Freiburg volunteered for Mini Max, too.
We will miss you at the CSC events, will the kids get to race at all this season?

ParticipantDave,
I definitely understand where you are. If you want to know the history of theColoradoKarter.com, I would love to tell the happy story! But, for now, to get to the point…….I have been saying that I want to get back to one of my original goals for the Karter, which was to have information for the CO newbie karter, in print, and on the site. (if you look back, you will probably see me mention it a dozen times!) I thought I was ready, then last year’s season overtook my life! Last year was so hectic with the CSC, the other races, and the rest of my life, that it didn’t happen.
I would love to have a Frequently Asked Questions section on my site, and have a pretty good start on the questions and answers. The print part is coming along, and will have the directory of kart shops, tracks, etc. in it as well. Some surely remember the print newsletters that I did in the Karter’s early days – it will be kind of like that, but with newbie info in place of the other articles. So, that being said, feel free to make suggestions on content.
Tracks and kart shops, you can look forward to getting information on the brochure, and rates for advertising in it, soon.
In the meantime, please feel free to call or email me with any questions. If I can’t answer it, I can usually point you to someone who can.
And on that note, we really do need to get to placing racer representatives for the classes. I appologize for not having this rolling already. I am going to create another post, asking for nominations and/or volunteers for these positions. This information would also be published in the CO Karter brochure and in the CSC event programs.Angie
