    Mike,
I am sorry about the lack of communication. The Motori deal is the most major change, or in this case, no change, in the rules. The actual rules took a little longer to get formatted and online, and I am sorry about that, too. They have been up on the CSC site for a couple of weeks. I will correct the weight listed, too.

    everybody take a deep breath!

    Larry,
That is nice of you to offer. Just so there isn’t any confusion, though, I want to clarify something…… Someone would only be able to use it for practicing. Race day must be a supplied engine. Even if someone gets an engine to practice on Saturday, they must turn it in at the end of the day. Everyone gets fresh engines on Sunday morning.

    see you there!

Don, some very good questions / points.

There is not A Race Director for the entire series. The track owners have discussed and agreed that each one of them may hire their own to run their individual race(s). For Action Karting it will be Rusty. There will be complete debriefing, if you will, before and after each of the races, so that any incidents at one race will not be forgotten at the next. So, on race day, the acting Race Director is the main man. On a series level, any “Race Director” decisions (ones that affect all races) will be made by the track owner/operators as a group.

The Daily Competition License will be $25. However, I don’t believe it is being charged for the first race, and I am not positive we will enforce this rule this year. The issue about how many races you can run without being a member will still apply, though.

Thanks for pointing out my spelling error.

The Mini Max class does need some clarification. You’d think since we run it, that I would have been especially careful.

The fuel is spec for this class. You must run the 93. You can run any oil (most should run Motul because of the RMax rules and Rotax recommendations, though). You can run any ratio.

MG Yellows are spec tires. You must run the 4.6 x 5 all the way around. There is no max width like with RMax, so you can use the rims you want.
The gearing is open for the CSC, not spec like RMax.

The spark plug rule is the same as RMax, so I am not sure on that one, Doug or Dennis will have to answer that.

All carb rules apply as for RMax. The only exception is there is not a minimum jet size for the CSC.

I will make an announcement on the CSC site, and ammend the rulebook.
Hopefully it is a good combination of RMax and non-RMax rules.

Oh, I also need to clarify that the seal IS required.

Let me know ASAP if you see anything else- this is going to the printer to be in book form for this weekend!

Please refer to the following, taken from the CSC rulebook, which can be seen at http://www.coloradosprintchampionship.com/rules.htm ….

9.9.8 Fuel / Oil: The CSC uses spec fuels and oils. Fuel tests may be administered at any time during or after an event. Failure to pass a fuel test will void results of qualifying, heats, or main events that contestant has participated in during that event. Results of fuel tests are deemed final.

CSC reserves the right to prosecute to the full extent of the law, any competitor found to be using EPA listed known cancer causing agents as an attempt to enhance fuel performance at any event

9.9.8.1 Fuel The spec fuels for all classes are: VP MS93, MS98, or C-12. No Additives, Alcohol, Oxidizers, or Hydrazine may be added to the fuel/oil.

9.9.8.2 Oil The spec oils are VP RS7, Maxima 927, or Motul 800.

    Larry,
I know you want advice from the experts, which I am not…. but looking at the results on ekarting, I notice many Woltjer engines listed near the top. We have used Woltjer for our shifter engines, and would recommend them, for sure.

    Good Luck!

    jj,
The points are basically the same as for the CSC, only there are no Qualifying or Heat race bonus points.

    So, it is like this:
    1st 200
    2nd 190
    3rd 180
    4 170
    5 160
    6 150
    7 142
    8 134
    9 126
    10 118
    11 110
    12 102
    13 96
    14 90
    and it goes on.
look at the rules here to get the rest…. (under 7.5)

ps. the dvd is great, meant to thank you in person today. Still working on getting in online!

Also, there were several people that have informed me that they ARE running in the series, and have paid the $40 fee. If this is the case, please just email me so I can make sure I don’t miss anyone. If you don’t join the IMI / Track at Centennial series by paying the $40 fee to one of the tracks, then you will not get points.

    Thanks!!
