    Hi guys,

sorry for the delay we were in Le Mans France for the KZ World Championships and just returned last night. Here is the L206 guidelines.

We would love to have more of the 206 gang join us and if we had a group coming over could do something special for that class for the weekend. Maybe free suit to the winner or a set of tires. Something fun. Let us know we would love to build that class statewide.

Cory Ross has 5 race ready L206 packages available for rent at great prices for our club series if you want more information we can get you in touch direct with Cory.

Maybe some day we can all play together again 🙂

Unfortunately Ekartingnews has elected to not cover the U.S. Open in anyway due to their relationship with SKUSA.

Tough and crazy day today! Started off really well as Sabre’ stormed up to 12th in heat 1 and Joey ran to 5th in his opening heat race. The 2nd heat Sabre’ was not as lucky, she got a great start and by turn 8 was up to 11th only to get taken out by a crazy Italian 🙂 she restarted at the back of the field and raced up to 19th when a red flag was thrown for a cameraman that was hit. However they did not count the last 4 drivers she passed on the red flag lap so she finished 23rd. Heat 3 She again got a good start and moved up the field however she got shuffled back at the end fighting for position ending up 17th. Heat 4 was crazy as she had another good start but was totally run over and taken out by another driver. He actually took 6 total with him on a crazy move. This one hurt as you desperately have to score points each heat. Heat 5 she got another incredible start and battled hard to finish 14th however she was penalized 10 positions for moving on the start which put her in 25th position and a huge loss of crucial points. Luckily even with the penalty she made it the show on Sunday. Now it’s time for some reat and a new day.

Joey Wimsett, Sabre’s CRG USA teammate has been very impressive! finishing 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 4th to start tomorrow in 7th position. He is making us Americans very proud. Joey also finished 2nd last year in the Rotax World finals in DD2.

    More to follow tomorrow.

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for following, it has been a crazy week. Sabre’ and Joey have been trying to adjust to the track, motors and especially the tires!! Joey has really picked up the pace and finished 16th with Sabre’ 52nd out of 109 drivers. They are only separated by 3 tenths however that caused Sabre’ 36 places. It is an incredible experience and the track is truly incredible and very long! Tires are the biggest issue for the drivers, they are worse than Mojo but are on karts with 50+ horsepower.

I will try and update tomorrow if possible. Joey starts the heats in row 3, Sabre’ in row 9 so it should be exciting.

    Have a good night.

    Craig,

We are willing to do whatever it takes to get Colorado Karting back on the map. We have some of the best drivers in the country here in both Rotax and Shifters. At one time we were the strongest region in the country and everyone was envious of what the CSC had done.We had turnouts of 150+ on a regular basis with great sponsors and support from a a lot of people.

By what little response i see maybe what is left of the Colorado karting community just does not want a Statewide series.

We have supported every track, promoter series we could including going to TTAC and SBR with our big rig and trailer and every driver we could drag along. Unfortunately we don’t get that in return.

We have a whole new crop of kids coming up that are going to be fantastic at the National level and as a father the best thing possible for Sabre’ was to be able to compete with National caliber racers like Ben, Christian Bird, Christian Schureman, Cory, Austin, Greg and many others on a regular basis. That is what will make everyone better not sitting at home making every excuse possible as to why you can’t or won’t compete.

If you are not wanting to go compete at a National event at least you can get an opportunity to see how you stack up against a National Champion as i believe Colorado has about 8 current or former National Champions still competing at all the Major events.

Colorado has an incredible group of people in the karting community, many that are our closest friends. A State series tailored to “what” the karter wants can and will work however the tracks need to know what that is. Or you can just keep racing on your own little island the choice is yours.

    Stan,

Thank you and your entire staff for trying to make Colorado karting better for all of us! Also Lee and Ivy for working their tale off to give us a fun, exciting track to race on. Really unfortunate that the Colorado karters choose to stay home and not support people that work so hard and take all the risk to give us a place to do what we love.

I really like SKUSA’s rule that you have to run at least 50% of your regional series to get an entry into Vegas this year! Unfortunately there is not going to be very many Colorado karters enjoying the Super Nats in 2014!
