Doug is correct, by the way all the Colorado Rotaxians should thank Doug, he tried very hard to get the Rotax Grand Nationals in Colorado. Maybe next year 😀 Doug, when do we all want to get together and get our CSC schedule set for 2004? Probably after SKUSA makes their announcemnent. Sounds like a great year for Colorado karting…..
James, thanks for the info, we have not been around the Briggs motors at all so don’t know much about them. That would make the rotax about 2hp more so they should be pretty competitive, maybe adjust the weights a little. The Mini Max seems to be a awesome package. The Kids can run it until they move into Rotax Jr class and then all they have to do is remove the restrictors, a 5 minute job and their good to go, then when they want to move to Rotax senior all they need is to repalce the cylinder and away they go. I think it is a great concept and very affordable.
Mark, what would we need to do to intice all of you Rotaxians to come over and participtate? Purse? contingencies? Great racing? awesome trophies?
Rich, thanks for the compliment, we would of loved to have the Rotax Grand Nationals and tried very hard to get them, We told Joe and Marshal that the weather is really good that time of year in Grand Junction, I think because SSC owns the X-Plex that it is going to be very very hard to get it away from there. We are going to have 6 Rotax regional events in 2004 that will be qualifiers for the Grand Nationals so please, please bring all you rotax buddies over, we would love to have all of you. We will again try for it in 2005.
Bill and Angie, I disagree on the Mini Max. My daughter and Christian Bird are about a second off the fastest Briggs time her at Grand Junction. We brought in the Mini Max with the understanding that it could run in the Jr. 1 class and seems to not be any faster than the animal. I would be curious to know what the Briggs puts out for hp. Maybe they all could be competitive with one another with differant weight requirements.
