Rick, my avatar is annoyed at your excessive emoticonication.

    O.k. Kirk,

I’d ask you not to use words you can’t spell, but apparently you have a more advanced see and spell than I. Don’t make me whip some extreme emoticonication on you. (Lord knows I can push that button) And PLEASE don’t get your polyester in a bunch and for sure don’t remove the mask or hair. Oh the humanity!

    Kirk,

    Please, please, please,

Don’t slap him so hard that anything else falls out! Again, Oh the humanity!

O.k. If you have to remove the mask for THAT, it’s good! :rock

Mike, my original reply might have seemed a bit harsh. I just don’t believe in emoticons (smilies). I meant no offense.

    Kirk,

I think it’s the avatar. It is so serious that all of your post come off sorta harsh. There are no smilies that could out weigh your stuffy avatar. I could be way out of line but it is a casual observation. :crazy

Tighten just enough to eliminate end play. Always coat the bearing to cassette mating surface with antiseize to allow the chassis to flex. Axle has to be out for this.

Rick, I wasn’t going to bring up the toolbox but I’ve been meaning to ask what’s that electronic black box strapped to your ankle? If you accessorized with gold or pearls it might become a fashion trend Laughing

    Mike,

It’s the new Max Jet program including information on how to beat drivers with sticky tires while running the Mojo tire. So if this new sequined anklet brings you to your knees (doesn’t take much to bring you to the knees does it?) hope your feeling (yes singular) isn’t hurt. It’s your own fault for “blowing” an advantage to say the least. Just remember Mike. The next race, were running the same tire as you. Hate to send you home with your tail between you legs but…I’m cutting my driver loose. Cause we’ve got this little thing called a title that runs through us this year. Yes, the first year in 3 years that the previous title holder is available for unseating in Masters.

We are looking forward to the fun of it all Mikey. I’ll help you in any way I can. But, when the visor flips down. All you boys need to settle it. There may be Ron
Reed and Rick Samu hanging in our pit as well. And that is what we look forward to this year. I may even be persuaded by some scratching behind that pesky ankle strap Mike. We’ll see how bad you want it! Do you have peeled grapes and some palm leaves to fan me with?

I’m glad you found out and took the right action. Rick, stop that nonsense now or you’re cut off CSC saturday night… Drinking my man, drinking…

    O.k. Mikey,

Next, I suppose you’ll be accusing me of forgetting to strap my tool box down in the trailer (after a few yeagers) for the ride home from The Track.

It was Rick. He’s trying to get into my pants, err, avatar and post inappropriate images. Like guys stuck/trapped in a loo and that kind of stuff.

    What the hecks a “loo”?

Anyway, Getting into your pants? I can’t even look you in the eyeanymore! Your man thing really left nothing to the imagination! (unfortunatley) :barf :hit

That would lead to a “Turn your head and cough” type situation for sure. AND, Big Daddy can do it without bumping his cigar or spilling his beer!

Along with what Roger and Curt said. Driving position is very important. You may want to consider a wedge between your steering wheel and hub, this will take a lot of the wrist angle away allowing less stress on your elbows. Your steering column height is also adjustable.

Imi has more sweeping corners that require holding steering forces longer and they do have bumps in them. A shifter can be a real challenge there with the amount of one handed driving required.

A very light touch on the wheel can help too. Let the kart kinda float under you vs hanging on though the rough areas might help.

You can try to run your 3rd cassette loose on your Tag. This does not work on shifters because the hit from launching will bend the axle, your Biland will not. If you run right side seat struts you need to consider running to the outer cassette bracket (can be tough on a Biland) if you loosen the cassette for the 3rd bearing.

If you’re considering this because the kart is tight at Imi, it will probably help. Several of the corners there don’t have an agressive turn in and you need to free up the back end to get reasonable turn in. Also increasing castor and widening the front might help.

And stretch before you go out or you may end up playing with a nagging injury.

    Rick,

If I had your neck (titanium) mine would never get tired. Actually I was bending my neck looking down into the 5-axis toe mirror located on the end of my carbide steel-toed military laser guided combat boot I usually come stock with.

    Brad,
The last thing you want is my neck. And, shouldn’t there be someone behind you to need mirrors?

    blink Posted:

Those were steel toe racing boots, I was worried that Jansen would run over my feet in the pits.

Your safest place is standing on the racing line.

    Mike Jansen Posted:

For that reason alone I didn’t run over your feet.

Come on Jansen! You know you could not stand another 7 years of: completing 4 of a 20 lapper, watching races from the infield, making bone (bald?) head mistakes, being trapped in the porta pottie (with your own car) the redicule of bringing the wrong beer back on a beer run, high speed reverse fly bys, having a poof of smoke applying brakes when failure is iminent (and you had er) running over renters, breaking clutchs, blowing motors, loosing parts, having to push start your motorcycle :type: My fingers are getting tired. I’ll cover the second half of the season later!

Wasn’t there one of them four strokes at The Track for the season opener.

    Yes…why yes there was.

PostPosted: I don’t recall the drivers name but he was wearing a nice set of OSHA approved redwing steel tow driving shoes.

    Don’t Know the name either!

    But…

Those Red Winds were whistling every time they came by and really hurting the aero. (but great traction on a slippery surface… & Osha approved + solvent resistant & reinforced steel sole) and a wear guarantee for the discriminating (frugal) racer!

    Don’t Know

Think the drivers neck was just wore out and the helmet started to drag on the outside rear tire in high “G” situations (every where but the straights… well part of the straight), really pulling down the old h.p. An extremely difficult condition to tune out of a set up.

And the kart was a “lot faster than it was”!!! In fact it just gets faster as that weekend passes further into history! Know what I mean?
Give him a month on the track and he is still a contender…. how he feels the next day??? That’s another story!!!

    Blink!

[quote=”Rusty Newberry Besides, I am not sure you really want to road trip with Jansen I am hearing some really unsettling news about him and that sister of his.
    Rusty

Hey leave my sister out of this, she’s Hot Hot Hot…

    Rusty,
Not sure about the”Hot Hot Hot…” but she certainly is “Bald Bald Bald…” She certainly has some of the longest legs I’ve seen standing in the infield (with pom poms) maybe ever! O.k. for sure ever.

The track looks awesome. This will be a very high speed / long layout that looks like a total gas! Racers will love it! Not what you expect for the typical temp course!

Sorry I’ve been unable to be as committed this year. If any of you need to use any of my equipment for the event this year, or anything else from me (except my limited time this year) it is certainly available. Whether we’re there or not.

It was the most fun we had racing last year and we had a lot of fun to say the least.

    Kirk,

As usual, your sense of humor is appreciated. But I really think we should get your crew chief out there. She is soooo cute and may just have a little something for the boys. :money
