So I ran the spiderman helmet 2 years ago (sweet if you ask me) and if I were to somehow start racing again what would be the best bang for my buck. I would need a new helmet and custom paint (like some kind of Marine junk) on it that would last… My last custom paint job got dinged to heck and that dude has been fired.

If you were to somehow start racing again, Gunslinger Custom Paint http://www.gcpaint.com could offer you a paint scheme our country would be proud of. There may be some sort of military discount involved.

Rick and the other 2 people who care….lol

My boy is doing great. I have him on 2 a day workouts and have him studying hydraulic calculations and M16 windage at 500 yards. He should get the concept in about 20 years. In about 4 years you will see him on the track tearing it up with the other big ol’ 5 year olds… time goes fast so I am working with him as much as possible.. I have pics but have no idea how to get them on here… You may see him at the Track a few times this year.. Semper Fi…..

That’s awesome Roger! Did you ever think you could Love something so much?

Time does go so fast, there will come a day he is better than you behind the wheel. That is a cool day. I did it to my Dad, Roman did it to me. A right of passage of sorts.

I used to be able to post a photo, but now… Be careful of asking for help here on the forum, it’s a tough crowd. You may have to wait for the kid to hit 5 years old to show you how to do it!!!

Hope to see your family at the track sometime this year.

Romans current helmet is rated for cars. Just in case he got a chance to jump in one, his helmet would meet the required rating. It was more money and may not make sense to purchase a helmet with that rating if you don’t plan on racing anything other than karts.

My leather one is approved for all catagories of competition. The scarf however, is non nomex and is not approved for a closed cockpit!

    Fuzz,

Here is a link to the 2007 Skusa rule book. I know there are specific spec required for helmets listed there.

Our Colorado rules are very simular to the Skusa rule book.

I’ll be running in G-1 this year and I dont care if it is Adcock and my self. I’m taking that #1 plate away from that boy.

    Well…if Adcock doesn’t race, you have a chance!!! 😉

Ok, here i go again. The spec honda will last forever, i know that, raced one years ago and then went to a TM ICC.
I want to race this year, although it would be great to be in a class that has more than six or seven karts show. Three years ago there were as many as eighteen G1s. Not so many anymore. But there was also one hundred and sixty karts at a CSC Race. Not so many anymore.
There are now four classes for just old or heavy guys, (I am an old guy and a heavy guy) TAG Masters, DD2 Heavy, Spec Honda Heavy, and G1.
Are there that many old guys or heavy guys to warrant four classes?
Ricky dude what do you think?
Mr Kistler maybe you can help answer this for me?

You forgot 4-Stroke Heavy and Rotax Masters.

I agree with you. It looks like there is a little transition going on here and across the country, (as far as karting goes) and maybe a necessary one. Certainly not the first time it’s happened in the history of karting. We would all be running West Bends otherwise.

A lot of the “hot bed” regions are going towards spec classes. Not sure which way ours will go, but it evolve either way.

You want the biggest class? It’s going to be Tag Masters and a toss up between the Club series and the Csc.

    The closest racing will be….?

In my opinion, I do believe the 4-Stroke and Spec Honda classes will grow and be the place to race, in the future. It may take a year or two to build, and I could be totally wrong. We’ll see.

Mr Kistler is a wealth of information :joker I’m sure he can help you.

A quick thanks to those in the karting community that have recently purchased your new Bell helmets from us. And those who have scheduled your new Gunslinger custom paint jobs as well.

Well, was hoping you’re having fun but rib injuries cut in to the fun factor a little. He shouldn’t push it.

Was Jarvis in Mini Max or Jr last year?

The competition seems at a very high level in all classes. Hope luck swings back your way next time out.

Keep us posted. High in the teens tommorrow! You bum’s. 😥

Great question Fuzzy. This is something that will be inspected prior to all CSC races this season. Please make sure that the SNELL rating is still attached to the helmet, and the rest of the helmet & visor are in good condition. Without the proper rating you will be forced to find another bucket for your dome prior to taking the track.

We will also be looking at proper rear number plate color, transponder mounting, lead mounting, safety wire, double nuts, fluid containment and a few other things the CSC has been loose on in past years.

Step it up gang, there is a new sherrif in town, and he learned from the best.

    sheriff,

Are you really going to be checking for “double nuts” before each Csc race? 😳
