The Roman and Jim show. Part (?)

It is gaining some momentum Jim and should see some great racing!

If your competing to go to the Grand Nationals, you had better get as much Rotax Masters seat time as possible. Unless, of course, they offer a DD2 Heavy.

    Glad to hear it Jim.

Had to come back home to dry out a little?

    Rick sounds awesome!!!!!!!!
One question, with it being in a “lounge”, are minors allowed???
If they are, my family and I would love to come!!!

I talked to my mom and shes up for making a pot of her own chile (feeds about 30) and two choclate sheet cakes.
For those of you who were at the last IMI club race (David Zippie,
Mr. Anthony Figuieredo, David Chappel, INTERNATIONAL BROKERS, and others) who had some of her chile know how good it is!!

And its for the perfect cause!!!

    Thanks Tony,

You have such a great family. That’s a big part of what this is all about anyway.

I will get you an answer. It will take 2-3 days though. Craig Mansfield knows the lounge owner and is on his way down from Canada to help with this. I don’t know why it would be a problem if you are not drinking and not at the bar, but I will find out.

Thanks again or your participation Tony and family.

    Stacey,

Here is an onboard sample of Monaco. It is still the #1 rated Shifter Kart video on You tube. Should have gotten the kid front brakes, he got killed in the braking zones and we could not get them there. Roman smacks the barriers so hard, look where is seeing his number plate from. It damn near knocked him out, I was standing right there. When I saw him look down at the spindles I knew he was o.k. and would keep going if he could.

The reason I’ve only posted samples on the internet. I have seen these 2 clips (your track and Monaco) all over the internet in various video sites etc… I guess it really does not matter.

I actually have quite a bit of on board. I gave you Dad a disc with all of our track time there. (about 90 minutes of actual track time) Some of the action is great! The tag stuff looked like practice till Roman started running down back markers. But the shifter stuff is good. If you need it again, I will get to you. It is a lot higher resolution that what you currently have on the website. Roman made it loop in case you wanted to play it on a Dvd player in your showroom, it just started over at the end. We thought it might be cool for renters or customers to see what the track looks like and how close you operate when racing wheel to wheel.

Yea, that’s the problem with video sharing like youtube. There is always some J.O. running his mouth. I could delete his comments but decided to just let him have as much rope as he wanted. I’m sure his future sponsors would be proud of him.

    Kody,

I’ll bet there are some very good looking girls over there. But stick with racing. It’s cheaper in the long run!!!

So he arm pumps on the warm up lap huh? That explains him doing a wheelie off the back of Roman in the Gjms onboard video!!! Just couldn’t hold that clutch in anymore!!!

Or maybe Roman just fell asleep at the start?

I often contemplate racing again. I noticed my aggression level on C-470 has been real bad since leaving Junction. I need to race something, someday, and soon.

You been taking the air off of the back of little old ladies, spinning them out? You should be ashamed!!! And you should get back in the kart and give the law abiding citizens on the highway a break. And give us at the fence something to talk about!

Kinda wondered why you had the big number on the side of your car???

Where we racing ? I-70 ? I heard the track was sold.

Hey Mike. Seems like the Emoticons should just be 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 They did get you good.

What is the over/under for when Cunningham retires this season? I’ll take on or before July 15th.

Adcock will have him (mathamatically) for the championship well before then!

by stacey cook on Mon 01 21, 2008 1:37 pm

Brian, you ready to come out of retirement yet? you have been out of a kart long enough… Cunningham (CWT) says he can kick your Butt….

I think Brians racing is some kind of dillusion he thinks he may have, used to do….. He would be much faster and continue to get faster if he just stays retired.

Are you sure Cunningham said “kick”? He kind of mumbles you know.

Bob is back home and recovering. He still has a way to go and it will take a while. He has some sort of port to administer the drugs they have him on.

He’s tough and will be back, but has a long road yet. And appreciates everyones concern and well wishes.

Spent 21 days in the hospital and lost 40 lbs.

Roman ran a M helmet which does have a wider field of vision for a few years.

His latest helmet has less peripheral ability. I like it better, he has been coached to look ahead. Drivers who turn to look behind them have picked up a bad habit. (you know it’s true Aj) The fast way around the track is in front of you and there is still plenty of view to see a challenge for a pass. Roman likes it better too. Plus, you should feel where competitors are around you.

Many drag racers tape their visors to keep their attention on what they are doing. I know they don’t pass each other, but it’s kind of the same concept.

    Just some thoughts.
