ParticipantBig thanks go out to Billet Performance for kicking in some swag for the raffle, and for the donation of of dyno time. This will be a very sought after auction item. Very cool.
Have you seen that place and his equipment? It’s very impressive! You could eat off the floor, it’s so clean. Barry is in a different mode around the shop too, stop by some time and check it. Don’t be deterred by Barry’s track side intensity. He is a very focused individual who is there to help his customers excel. And is always thinking. Around the shop, he’s pretty laid back.
http://www.billetperformancekarting.com/
He is the best engine builder / tuner in the rocky mountain region by far. Tap into his experience with a one hour session and walk away with information that you will never get at the track. He also has a very organized, full service shop.
Want to help your program? Go see Barry.
Thanks Billet!

Participant:usa: Thank you. Greg Welch has donated a day of driver training. It is important item for a new or old driver. I taught myself to ski and now know how to ski backwards because I ended up in that position so many times. The message is that you can only be better if you work at being better. If I had taken a lesson I would have been a better skier a lot faster. A driving school will make you better period. Place a bid on one of the two we have been blessed to received and improve your performance

ParticipantWell Racers,
Another great offer to help Bob.
Greg Welch from Shockwave / Karting Coach has offered a driver coaching day. Greg has an impressive resume in karting to say the least. Those of you who have not spent time around Greg, or have not been to the Shockwave http://www.shockwavekarting.com/ seminars. Greg has an intense knowledge in chassis and driving. He also has a very patient delivery of his knowledge.
You would gain a great deal from his services and I have to tell you, I witnessed him working with Kid Karters in a group environment and he really is very good at working with children as well as adults. Check out the website http://www.kartingcoach.com/ for more information on his services.
The Welch family has really stepped up for this cause. People are really seeing what great members of the karting community you are!
Thank you very much Greg!
Also thanks for the motor mount Doug!
Man, we’re getting some great items to win. I’m excited!

ParticipantSorry Craig,
Started my post and walked away for a bit. Did not know you were thanking Greg at the same time. Good point about learning to do it right from someones experiences.
Also, a big thanks goes out to John Crow http://www.crowenterprizes.com/ for not hesitating to offer product for the 500 gathering. John is currently one of the best kart racers in the country who strikes fear into any racer sitting on a grid with him. You beat him, you’ve beat the best. John is just one hell of a great guy! He and his Dad own a racing safety gear company.
Racers, please support the businesses who support us.
Thanks again John!

InactiveThis is a great thing you are all doing!! In 2005 we pitted next to the Reed’s at most of the IMI races and can only echo all of the good things posted here. Passionate about racing, always the first to offer help, and fun to be around.
I know firsthand how stressful it can be getting knocked off of your feet by an illness. I finished 12 weeks of chemo just before the holidays and just now getting back on my feet. I cant even imagine what an extended hospital stay without insurance would be like.
Unfortunately we wont be able to make the party, my sons birthday party on the same day.
Bob, hope you are feeling better, hang in there man!

ParticipantThat’ll work Richie. Thank you so much for participation!
This Rbi / FR 125 package is coming together and looking great. You components are much appreciated topping off the project. Some of us have been talking and we hope you catch the bug again and come out and play. We even thought about putting you in a 125 Masters, just to send Cunningham home crying. 😥
Thanks again Richie,
Rick

ParticipantI actually have a brand new chassis and ICC sitting in my garage awaiting to be put together. I also have a brand new DD2 package coming. I will definately be back this year. How much depends on how often I have to go overseas for business.
I do not know if I want to work hard enough to run shifter. I am pretty comfortable with my new winter physique.
let me know if you need anything else.

Participant:usa: We have Mike Edwards running the pool tournament. We set up a fifty dollar first prize with many other items to include in the tournament. We have a potential person to lead the shuffleboard action. If this falls we may need a second person. We will keep you posted. Our prayers to Bob and family. Craig 303-523-5921

Hopefully what I have to offer will help out Bob.Oh Greg,
What you have offered is wonderful!
I’m sure people will want to participate and give whatever they can. In a way, the thought of all the racing community pulling for him may be the best medicine. He is a very sick man. And more important than his financial situation, is recovering from his medical problems. I hope people know how sick he really is!
When I first met him, I thought he was a little rough around the edges and maybe a little too abrasive. After the years being around him, I think I figured him out. A man who wears his emotions on his sleeve and just says whats on his mind, (especially in the heat of battle) regardless of the consequence. It has hurt some feelings, including his at times. But what I really respect about him, he always thinks about what he’s said and when the opportunity arises, he will walk up to you and explain himself and say he’s sorry. He really is quite a man.
An example that comes to mind about Bob and his rough exterior and true softer inner. When he told me about Sophie being pregnant, He was pissed! Ranting and raving and on and on. I made a comment that he would love that baby regardless. He continued the rant and rave. Well… I’m sure little “Bodine” is one of the greatest things he has to live for right now.
Others must see the same qualities. Some of the people he’s locked horn’s with the most are pulling on the rope the hardest right now. Chokes me up!
Probably won’t meet another like you Bob.
Godspeed Bob.
We’re all pulling for you.
Rick

Participant:usa: It looks from the Bud shootout warm up we should have an event filled race. Drew Kunter will be running the shuffle board event. Let them pucks slide and hang thanks Drew.
I know some of you actual do other things than karting. In that vein we will have some golf clubs, and green fees at the silent auction. The white tigers or mid season sellers could use some eighteen-hole relaxation. It could also be another course that wouldn’t let you back on after racing the golf karts. Jump on the train and tell Jay how many are coming and what you are bringing to the 500 Party. If you can”t make it in person. You can donate before the event. Rick and I have received many checks thanks to one and all. Craig
