ParticipantI understand it is a separate series of races squeezed into Saturday mornings, yet I still am wondering what is the series for?

Sure sounds like our regional Rotax series to qualify for Grand Nationals in Wisconsin. :idn: Same las last year except splitting the Rotax-only races to a separate day and, of course, not having Nats in our back yard.

InactiveIs there a special rule book for this series?
Can anyone who is Rotax-equipped run any, all or some of the races?

ParticipantGarrick,
Are you going to race the Rotax 6 race series? If it is for qualifying which drivers from this series of races goes to the Nationals, the winners will miss the Nationals if the points chase goes to the last race on 9/27 the week after the Nationals.
The Rmax series running with TAG master last year made the series fun to do even though no winners of the series where awarded and the rules of the series were not adhered to as far as DQ drops implementation’s. I have been waiting to hear how this years Mile high Rmax series is going to be promoted before I jump on board.
How many seats for the nationals are available for each class in the Mile high series?
How are the points awarded?
Drops and DQ’s?
My biggest question is how many Rotax Masters plan on racing The Mile High Series?
I was looking forward to racing Rotax Masters again with TAG Master, was even hoping we could do a little better in TAG Masters with the new D-1 tire in the mix.
Now it looks to me Rotax Master will be a very small class crammed into Saturday mornings for the same amount of expense. I will have to consider racing CRE’s Rotax series at this rate. With the CRE Rotax series and The Mile High Rotax series having no conflicting dates booth series could have been combined to make a more awarding series to a series that now has very little awards for participation.Ya Rick, I am still trying to decide. But hay! I am so glad to be a Colorado Karter with so many great choices to make. There is a lot of Championships up for grabs just in our State. It’s been 8 years sense Craig and I ran 45 races and captured all of them in our class. It’s tempting to go for broke and try it again. At least with the Rotax I wouldn’t have to be building motors every week to do it. But then my Vampire money would turn into more used tires.

ParticipantHello,
Last year was the first year to offer a “local” qual. series for the Nationals. We didn’t have many sign up at first, so I combined the series with the IMI/Track series.
We had over 30 entries, so to keep the momentum moving forward, and not take up any more weekends, The Track has the “Mile High Challenge” which you need to sign up for to qual. for Nationals in September. The head office decides how many spots qual for Nationals.
Freeze, You paid nothing for last years challenge, because it was the first year with little interest. It turned into a great thing, so now its it own series, yet you still want it combined with TaG? See you on Sundays I guess.
As a Rotax owner, you have the option to race Saturday under full RMax rules, switch tires and adjust weight, and race Sunday under the Club/CSC Rules.
Two entries. Trophies will be awarded for both the IMI/Track race as well as the “Mile High Challenge” saturday race, both on race day and overall. Points for Nationals with be announced shortly, but will be decided PRIOR to the selection for National. The Race in September is to decide the “season” winners, not just the qualifiers.
Stay tuned for more information.
Please call or e-mail me if you have any questions.
Thanks,

ParticipantTo the Beat of Sir Mix A Lot’s Baby Got Back…
I like big fields and I can not lie
You other karters can’t deny
That when a karting class starts with an itty bitty field
And a little bit of Castrol in your face… 😆January 22, 2008 at 4:03 pm #60947Rick Schmidt

Are you going to race the Rotax 6 race series?Lolz… I was answering as a semi-educated observer. My carb needle is too old to pass tech for Rotax, and I’ve never touched a Mojo. I’ll be doing well to make a single club race on Sunday, but the idea of club racing sounds better all the time… I better find a decent scale so I can figure out if I actually need ballast.

ParticipantGarrick,
I would be glad to fix you up. Grants a little drive, but you are sure welcome to bring it up, we’ll scale it out, get ya new needle, and get a handle on your MOJO. 😯 You have got to get out to more than just one race this year no matter what kind of race it is.Jim,
Thanks for the quick reply. The Series last year was Priceless. It was very cheep fun and you deserve a Tip.
Are you going to be a Master this year or do I have to get in DD2 to chase you?January 23, 2008 at 12:16 am #60950Jim Keesling
ParticipantFreeze…

ParticipantThe Roman and Jim show. Part (?)
It is gaining some momentum Jim and should see some great racing!
If your competing to go to the Grand Nationals, you had better get as much Rotax Masters seat time as possible. Unless, of course, they offer a DD2 Heavy.
Glad to hear it Jim.
Rick
Had to come back home to dry out a little?

ParticipantIt might be less confusing if you simply listed them separately. All the rotax series race dates followed by the club series dates.
Are specs for TAG still the same. MG Yellows, weights etc, or will people be allowed to use other tires since it is a club series?
Also, how many drops for the series (one per track?)
