ParticipantThanks for putting this together Richard. It is a great resource for karters in Colorado.

ParticipantBrett, most of the time I run the Denso Iridium plugs with the stock gap, and don’t even bother to check it. It is a good idea though to pick up a cheap plug gap tool so you can double check the gap before you drop them in.

ParticipantRules? What rules? I have a top secret TaG project planned for this event…

ParticipantNight racing was a blast. I love that the weekend was condensed into one day. It gives the guys like me that do this every weekend a chance to take a day off. Thanks to Jim, Carolyn, and everyone at The Track for setting it up.

ParticipantI’d say one up on the front or 4-5 down on the rear would be a good starting point.

ParticipantThat track is still one of my favorites. Its a bull ring in the sticks but is definitely worth making a trip down to. We contribute a lot of our national success to seat time at Callahan.

ParticipantStoked to see that kind of turn out. Thanks to Jim Keesling and staff for a great race and to the CJKC for bringing their club out.

ParticipantLeo, we had no problem with our last 2 installs. Used the 5 degree Burris mount and ran the 35 chain outboard from the engine. I did have to use the max offset available from the Burris mount but have plenty of strut clearance on the chain. Did not not have to bend the struts at all.
To get the Briggs on the Kosmic cadet I had to flip the clutch and run the chain inboard. With that set-up the seat ended up fairly offset to the left but the corner weight was really good on the scales.
I attached a couple photos of a senior 206 we finished up yesterday.

ParticipantI will be at the Phoenix rounds of the Challenge of the Americas series during this event, however Tim will have the shop open all day Sunday and is there to answer any questions about people getting into karting. Good luck with the event, should be a great time!

ParticipantIan, what is the rear frame rail spacing? I’ll see if I have a metal rear bumper that will fit it. I may have some hubs as well, 40mm rear axle?

ParticipantMy clone weighed in at 145 with a few inches of fuel.
Its on a pretty light chassis, I expect more of them to weigh +10-15 versus that.
206 and clone are same weight.

Participant60’s were awesome, and I hated that neck brace.

CRG does sell the kid kart without a motor..
Sweet! I knew someone had too. Hopefully all the CJKC people know that as I was having this same discussion with one of their members last week.
Pretty rad that Tony Kart, the guys that make the RoK engine, don’t sell the kid kart with it!
