ParticipantDo the Denso plugs come pre gapped?

ParticipantYou bet! They *all* come with A gap, but it may not be the right one. (that’s a joke). They may come from the factory with the correct gap but in the course of transport, storage, sale, and getting banged around in your toolbox, the gap may change. Pick up a gap tool at the autoparts store for about a buck for your peace of mind.

ParticipantBrett, most of the time I run the Denso Iridium plugs with the stock gap, and don’t even bother to check it. It is a good idea though to pick up a cheap plug gap tool so you can double check the gap before you drop them in.

ParticipantThanks all! Now for the next question…… What’s the gap?
I did let my son take his kart out for the first time at IMI yesterday, ran a 29 plug and a 152 jet, because that is what the app told me to run. He did really well for his first time on the kart, sub 1 minute laps. He ran out of gear quickly on the back stretch and the front by the tower. Unfortunately I didn’t bring the gears with me so he was stuck with what we had. He’s definitely pumped to race next year!
