I hung out with Ronnie last weekend and might see him again today, but he is pumped and ready for the season.

Any Rotax Max event allows front brakes in Senior and Masters.

I designed a racetrack around my shop building, one for karts, one for cars. I can make an oval around my building if there are no cars in the parking lot in 17.1… Which is the track record over Ian Koentges by .05.

    This is great, thank you.

Most of them. Look for chassis that have straighter rear cross bar where the drive gear would go. Also look for karts that have seat struts moved left and not attached on inner-engine frame rail in front of where a normal tag engine would go. The biland is a little longer and needs that extra space.

When a D2 runs on a track with only D2 rubber, they are very similar in speed to the MG. However we have found that D2 tires don’t like MG rubber on the track and run slower than the yellow.

There has been a ton of interest and excitement about Rotax only racing, and we will have a couple entries in senior running the Mojo tire, including myself more than likely.

All these guys had good lists. Heres my list:

Nuts and Bolts, most important IMO. I can give you a list of the more important ones for your kart if you want. A few items are:
M4x10 SHCS, M6x25 SHCS, M6x35 SHCS, M6x25 FHCS, M6 Nylock nuts, M6 Flat Washers, M8x25 SHCS, M8x30 SHCS, M8x65 SHCS, M8 Nylock nuts, M8 Metal Lock nuts, M8 Flat Washers, M10x35 SHCS, M14 Fine Thread Nut.

Battery, 2 chains, sprockets (front/rear), Clutch springs, Powervalve Gasket, Needle Clips, Gas Cap, Pedal Bearings, exhaust springs, pedal springs, zip ties, throttle cable, nose cone clamps, brake pads, motor mount clamp (for exhaust mount also), Rotax Clutch Nut (M12x1 Nut), King Pin Bolt, Tie Rod Ends.

Anything you don’t have we will have on board the truck at most races. We have a few schedule conflicts this year and won’t be able to make it to every race but we will try to be at most. If you plan on doing RMAX Challenge stuff that is where we will be for sure.

    Anthony,

I’ve run so many different engines at so many weights, my opinion is the little weight differences don’t matter. If your program keeps going in the direction it has been going all year, you will be able to beat people and be heavier, no problem. This is just the weights for Skusa though, does anybody know what Jim is going to do for weights?

    Rodney,

I’d like to get in on this Ice racing madness, just sounds like too much fun. Parolin manufactures an ice tire for karting, as they do a celebrity style ice race every year. I’ll call the importer and see if they have any or can get any details on them. I have a feeling though that an Italian ice tire will carry a big price tag though.

    Rick,

Please stop giving away my secrets to speed. I thought everyone just had tears of joy when I took to the track, but I guess not.

Any of the race tracks carry the 98L fuel. Pump gas will work for testing however you have to watch out for a couple things. First the fuel is not consistent so your engine tuning will change with every batch of fuel you get. The other thing is pump gas is full of additives and other fun stuff that will actually make the engine go faster than race gas. It will leave a residue inside of your tank and fuel hoses, and you could run into issues when you go into fuel tech at a race. When we use pump gas for practice we have a separate gas tank and fuel lines that we use, and the stuff we show up with on race day has only ever had the proper fuel in it.
