ParticipantHey Greg
When you get time, could you update your Chassis list on the classified forum?
Thanks,
Eddy

ParticipantCool Stacey. Is there a rate code or just simply tell them we are racing at GJMS?
Thanks,
Eddy

ParticipantWeather permitting, I’m planning on heading over Friday morning. :green Doing some much needed practice Saturday to ready-up for Sunday. :rev
Not sure yet, however, we may be staying at the Clarion if the rates are reasonable.
Glad to hear you’re going too, Dave.
Thanks Stacey for the garage space offer, just may take you up on that. One vote for counter-clockwise….track direction.
Until next weekend, Take Care All,
Eddy

ParticipantHey guys
Regardless of what you may have heard, I’m NOT getting out of karting just because I am stepping down from the PPKRC Race Director responsibilities for 2014 and plan to do some Rocky Mountain NASA events next year. I’m STILL committed to promoting Colorado kart racing, and support for the Kart Racing for Heroes Events in 2014.
Additionally, I’m going to try to make it to GJMS next weekend to have some fun with you all and encourage all the Colorado karters to join in as well. For many this may be the last opportunity to kart race this year.
Have a Great Weekend!

Eddy

ParticipantFor many of us who have been in karting and motorsports for many years and specifically Colorado Karting, some of these comments/inputs on this thread come as another episode of Ground Hog Day. All great ideas restated. Having the opportunity to work with many tracks, shop owners, series organizers, sanctioning programs and racing teams, I can honestly say that what the PPKRC tried to do for Colorado Karting in the last 3 years covered much of what is being suggested on this thread. Regrettably we failed at getting the program supported state wide.
Maybe now that these recommendations/suggestions are coming from new/other sources it may actually get the necessary support to get implemented in 2014. Good luck to everyone on what you all decide.
For whatever it’s worth, in addition to the commitment I have made to the Kart Racing for Hero’s events, I plan to commit to entry level state wide series next year.
Really, like the Arrive and Race (rental program) idea. It worked well at SBR in 2013 and would, in my humble opinion, be something that with the proper promotion, help bring new folks into the sport. The obvious real challenge is to get support from the track operators/owners who have rentals to make it happen, unless someone steps up with a fleet of karts to integrate into a series.
Thanks Greg for getting the conversation started again and all who have provided positive on-topic input. Good Luck!

ParticipantHello Craig
I’m planning on running a limited karting schedule next year as we are making a move to NASA Racing in 2014. However, you can count on me for continued Kart Racing for Heroes support next racing season. Thank you very much for all you have done to bring the karting community together, recognize our Heroes, give them the opportunity to team build, relieve stress and put focus and raise awareness on impaired driving prevention. Have a Great Winter.
Additionally, best wishes for Greg and All for continued success growing Colorado Karting in the future.
Respectfully,
Eddy

ParticipantThe good news: Garrett WINS!!! :win in the NASA Road Course Late Model Division. Unfortunately, Anthony was forced to drop out due to a mechanical failure :bang early in the Spears 100.
Good racing and beautiful weather at PPIR again today. Thank you to all who came out to support the Colorado Racers.

ParticipantUpdate:
Garrett qualified 2nd today and finished P1 in the pre-final. Starts on the pole tomorrow for the main.
Anthony was fighting an under steer condition in the early practice session, however, his crew was getting the car dialed in by the final practice today and things are looking good for a good qualifying session and starting position tomorrow.
The weather at PPIR was absolutely beautiful today and the same is forecasted for tomorrow. Come on out and check out some really good racing and join us as we root Garrett and Anthony ON. Suggest being there no later than Noon. Garrett will be driving the white #78 in the NASA road course race and Anthony will be in the black #0 SPEARS Southwest Tour car on the oval (100laps). These cars are very fast, with some great drivers. Oh yes, suggest ear plugs………
Don’t miss it!

ParticipantSorry I missed you guys this past weekend. Only a Memorial Service in Florida could keep me away. Just got home last night. I hope to get over there before the end of the race season and have some fun with you all.

ParticipantThank you Stacey for including/inviting/hosting the older kids, Tag’s and Shifters this weekend. Looks like most we would race with will be at TTAC. Since I don’t have a Rotax, I’ll be sitting this weekend out.
Best to all the Jr. Karters and Families. Have fun and stay safe.

For what it’s worth. I plan to be back next year in karting. Have never really had an interest in going to any other form of motorsports. Enjoy the friendships, Families and being able to challenge myself competing against the young talent. Hope we (the drivers) can keep the low cost, entry level karting going strong in 2014. Many thanks to all who supported Colorado Karting in 2013, no matter if you ran SKUSA, Racing the Rockies, CJKC, PPKRC or GJMS Club. Currently planning on club racing next year at IMI, GJMS and any other track in Colorado that supports Club level TAG Racing. Additionally plan to support all the Kart Racing for Heroes Events.
For those PPKRC Members and anyone else who would like to attend, the 2013 PPKRC Awards Banquet :win is scheduled for Saturday, 21 September 2013, 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Brunswick Lanes off I-25 on InterQuest Parkway. For details click on the link titled the same on the home page at http://www.ppkrc.com.
Best wishes to all who plan to move out of karting next year and thank you for all you have done to make our sport better.
Respectfully,
Eddy Wyatt
