Make sure she gets some hotties for trophy presentations! I know if I was a spectator and saw all the hot trophy girls, I’d want to race! Sex sells!

I’m running Stars this year and was thinking about the CSC as well, but with 9 races, I don’t know if I can handle that. I want to do the national scene and do it RIGHT, but 9 CSC races is pushing it. Add to that SuperNats, RIGP and the Winter series that I’m runnin now, holy smokes….that’s 22 races this year for me!

I vote for 5 CSC races! One race at each track plus Greeley, no drops. You’ll get bigger and more competitive fields in each class. More competition leads to better racing and gives spectators a real show, not a 6 or 8 kart field, boring! With 5 races, you almost cut expenses in half for everyone.
Anyone else in the same boat?

-Drain the carb out to get empty the float bowl so that doesn’t leak.
-Either drain the tranny or just put a zip tie or safety wire on the overfill hose. I usually just put a zip tie on the hose, works fine.
-Other than that, you’ve already drained the radiator so you’re fine there.

    RocketSled,
I assume you’re planning on getting a clutch kart (non-shifter), which in your case is the right move. I wouldn’t recommend a shifter to start because they are so much point and shoot rather than say a TaG kart that teaches you how much more important driving is over the engine.
I would recommend for you the TaG masters class. You have the choice of what engine to run, whether it be the torque monster of the Biland or any of I think 7 or 8 two stroke engines. Besides that, the guys that race that class are second to none when it comes to comradery and helpfulness. If you’re looking at running a 4 stroke such as the Briggs, then you must note that where you can race will be limited. First decide on what level you want to race, you can race just a club series at IMI or CRE or Grand Junction or the Colorado Sprint Championship (CSC).

The Track at Centennial was trying to make a grand entrance to this weekend’s race but somehow was lead very far off course because they couldn’t understand the sailing lingo of their leader. Luckily a local officer was able to get them going in the right direction despite the traffic signs.

    That sounds about right Blink.
I think most of those 13 were all in the Mini Max class, they had the most carnage. The TaG Sr/Masters class was next in line with 3 nasty crashes within 20 seconds.

The “old” yellow is the MZ and has a very flat contact patch. In Europe, this is good because the tracks there are fairly green and aren’t that abrasive on the tire, so the tire will wear evenly there. Here in the U.S., our tracks are very sticky and along with being sticky, they are abrasive to tires and cause the “old” yellows to wear unevenly and usually you will see a bead of rubber sort of peeled up on the inside of the front tires. The “new” yellow is the FZ and has a much more pronounced “balloon” looking contact patch. This allows the tire to be a little more resistant to the abrasion caused by our tracks while still offering the grip of the “old” yellow.

As far as what you can run, either the MZ or FZ, I’m not sure. I assume that you can run either because they are both “yellow’s” and the same Durometer but don’t quote me.

MG is just making construction changes to the tire, the durometer (softness) of the tire is still exactly the same as the “old” yellow.

    K Dogg,
I’ll be at IMI on sunday but not saturday practicing in my shifter. I have a Sonik TaG kart for sale that will be there if you want to check it out. PM me if you have any questions before then.

Wayne, you’re my hero! No, seriously, everyone should take note of the points made by Wayne. He has explained exactly what needs to be done.
