ParticipantTom,
That’s not abad idea at all to have the right engine for the right track. As far as I know, there’s no rule about running different engines for different tracks but I’m not sure. As far as running 2 TaG classes their is only 1 person I know that does it; Jack Warrington. He runs a Sonik and adds 30 lbs for Masters and takes it off for Senior. There are guys that run 2 different classes like Marc Elliot does. He races TaG Sr. and 125 Pro. Switching weight all the time might get a little old after a few go ’rounds. If you do decide to look into another package, come see me. I’m selling my Sonik/RBI package since I will be in shifter’s next season. I will be racing at IMI on sunday so stop by and check it out, or you can PM me.

ParticipantI suppose this would be the thread to voice my 2 cents for the CSC.
I think we need an actual written rule book, like mentioned on another post, for 2005. It would make the rules concrete and no dispute should arise if everyone had a rule book.
My suggestion is for going about the making of the rule book. I don’t see any reason to write our rules from scratch so we should adapt an existing book like SKUSA’s since we already follow it (more or less). The soon to be board members could read through SKUSA’s book and either agree on every part or if there is a disagreement then change it to suit our series. Some changes that are already in place from this year could be added while some need to be clarified. One that I believe should make it into the rule book is the 4 wheels off rule. It has been stated in almost all driver’s meetings that if all 4 wheels go off the track, the driver must stop and look for a clear track before returning to the race. I have yet to see this rule enforced more than one time.
Don’t know if this would be a reasonable way to go about it but a suggestion never hurts! Thanks for all the efforts put forth by the CSC crew! It’s much appreciated! With a little luck we could make California jealous!

ParticipantI agree with you Jeff. It would be nice to have a transition class from Jr. to the TaG classes. There are some racers in TaG that could have benefited from a slightly slower class to get used to the speed and horsepower of a full size TaG. That mini max you said is only putting out 13 HP? Wow, i think my Sonik puts out close to if not 30 HP and the Italstrem puts out a ridiculous 31 HP. I’m not sure what engines should be used for this “junior junior” class but the mini max looks like a good candidate.

ParticipantI was at IMI today and never saw him. I’m starting to think the same as you Rich, he’s make believe! 🙂

ParticipantI would appreciate if the race could be moved to the next weekend as well. I want to race but it’s not every weekend that some open wheeled monsters tear through our streets!

ParticipantI don’t think that there is anything that I can add about this whole deal but I just wanted to let the Welches know that they are a welcome addition to the class!

ParticipantJon, if your asking about the weights for the CSC race at Bandimere on August 8th, then yes, Bandimere’s weights are the same as the CSC (obviously 🙂 ) As for Bandimere’s club races, I don’t know the answer. I’d assume that they are the same as the CSC but i don’t know for sure. Hope it helps! :idn:

ParticipantAn interesting article indeed! I agree completely with what was said. If the sport wants to grow then this is the way to go. Hopefully someone will step up to the plate! Thanks Bruce! 😀

ParticipantCurt, knowing Barry, he’ll have that RC Kart torn apart and hopped up by the next time you visit him. The janitors won’t like all the skids marks he’ll burn on the tile! 😀

ParticipantI have to agree with Dane on this one. I don’t see how it is possible to control fuels unless it is a spec fuel that must be purchased at the event. There are just too many variances in different types of fuel and especially oils. Some people use synthetic oil and some use castorbean like myself. I don’t see different fuel as an advantage but to try to keep it controlled is kind of unreasonable without a spec fuel.
…..Just my 2 cents!….. :idn:Taylor Broekemeier
