ParticipantThanks so much Angie.
I did not think that would be something you were doing. But if you do it, it will get done timely at least.
Thanks, Rick

ParticipantHere is a link for a inexpensive trailer I’ve seen at the track.

They have models going up from this one as well. Your Subaru will pull this safely with the proper hitch.
Just do it!

ParticipantThe Biland and Motori are also good choices in addition to the Rotax and Leopard for Tag. And they are well supported as well. And seem to pull the additional weight well. Looks like the Biland has won 4 out of the 5 races in Tag Masters so far in the Track / Imi series with some performance enhancements this year, it’s a rocket. You’ll probably be a little over minimum weight but you can be competitive. Roman is around 18 lbs over in the Rmax series and is in the hunt.
There is also the new Tag 4-Stroke class that is a blast and delivers very good power and the class is growing. As we learn how to tune these motors, they are getting closer to some of the shifter times.
Whatever you decide, Welcome! Great to see more racers coming into a wonderful group people racing karts here in Colorado.

You got it partner. We just need to figure out a way to score a zero on that par 3 Stacey aced last year and we are home free If we can get Lucy and Deb to follow us with the Margarita Kart we can shoot just about any score.

You’re a rock star now man. :star
Chicks dig it and it really is fun to watch you out there going for it.:win
This type of race can kick some of the best drivers in the back side. You did good. :~

ParticipantThankfully we figured out the zing thing with the 4-stroke 1st.

ParticipantI heard it was like driving an r/c car with the application of throttle at the right instant, it would land on all four, if you just nailed through there it landed on the front bumper.
I did not see any cracks in the tubing and all parts were replaced from contact. Still think it was easier on the kart than jumping the rumble strips at Bandi. The launch was smoother but at a very high speed. Oh and also on corner exit. If you look at Mitchs photo’s you can see some of the air borne drivers trying to will their karts away from the bales by turning the front wheels. You know, like a rubber or something. It was awesome!
Charles clipped a tire used to border the circuit with his rear tire. Launching him.

ParticipantOurs became unplugged twice in the bump. We gave up with all the parts carnage facing us between rounds.
Although we do not have a complete race, I can post a lap or so around that monster.
We really had to be careful our Rotax didn’t zing over the jump. Don’t think they are supposed to spin at 17,000. 😯

ParticipantIsn’t that wicked? There is a version out there that is longer and it’s unbelievable how long he is in high gear and wide open.
Have you seen this one. It sounds and looks pretty cool.

TaG Jr #20For those of us who have run street courses, this seemed fairly reasonable. These are not for the faint of heart. DO NOT go to Cascade Locks (or several of the other street offerings) if you thought this was unsafe Tony. You may just turn around and come home.
The nature of the beast. 3 steering shafts, 1 spindle and 1 axle is more than i replaced all year last year, and about half of what Cascade cost us in damage. Even very experienced drivers are subject to damage from themselves and others.
The biggest safety issue was not having an ambulance on site (in my opinion). Seems like a 10+ minute response is cutting into very important time with certain injuries. The corner workers were VERY green and missed a lot of calls. I thought Bobby did an excellent job. Particularly not having Ian (family emergency) to take care of the safety crew / corner workers and the training required.

As an active driver as well as a father of a driver, I cannot recall an event that encompased all that we racers love to do. The track was as well designed as any we have enjoyed and the staff again did a remarkable job in creating a wonderfull weekend event. Temporary courses are difficult at best yet Greeley was for us, as good or dare I say, better than the Supernationals in its best year.
I found that not having this event as a CSC points race was somewhat detrimental to overall turnout, drivers certainly raced for the flag if for nothing other than a love of the race. Lets reconsider this points no points issue again for next season, and if we all place 08′ Greeley on our mind calendars now, we can turn this wonderfull event into a major race on everyones schedule. When a city or township offers itself up to an event such as ours, we as racers thank them by our participation. I have been involved with many such events on a national level and can assure you that having a municipality supporting your event is a gift that we should continue to embrace and be thankfull for.
In any event, those of you who didnt participate missed one of the good ones!!!
Be safe, see you in GJ.
Patrick Koentges GPI pretty much echo Patrick’s feelings and comments.
We had a great time too. Glad we rearranged our schedule to be there this year. All in all, it was awesome and the quality of racing did not suffer with the size of the fields. Probably the best racing I’ve seen from the “little buggers” this year. Seemed like a pretty good turn out for the Kids and Jr’s and close racing in those classes too.
It remains to be seen if the Csc participation is going to dwindle this year, but seems like this could have been a better race if included in that series.
Was still a great race with a cool feeling around it. It transformed from a parking lot race to a full on, ba__’s out street circuit that is much more enticing to compete on.
Even though it’s not the best weekend, I have to admit, it was kinda nice to have a day to clean and lounge / recover after racing and we will attempt to keep this race on the schedule as long as we race.
