ParticipantSorry to hear guys, let us know if you need to borrow any of our crap, we have so much.

ParticipantThe CSC definatley should run in the rain, you really cannot experiance karting to the fullest extent until you have run in the rain. As for tires, we were the only ones running used tires in norman in the final (since we had a million crashes in the prefinal we were starting in the back anyway) and were able to do it ok, provided I got crashed again my results dont really show, but it wasent the biggest deal, at this level (CSC) it will not matter that much.

ParticipantJon,
Welcome to CO Karting, im #186, Pro Shifter under the gigantic RBI tent, so stop by if you need anything, we would be more then willing to help. My first race ever was TaG CSC at GJ, so i know what your feeling. Most likely you will be faster then you anticipate yourself to be. A few things to remember
Stay Positive
NEVER give up
Work as hard as you can, it will pay off
Like many of the guys stated above, learn the flags-critical-if you have been testing and working hard to be fast for this year, you likely will not get lapped, but do not get discouraged if the front of the pack is leagues ahead, there are some National caliber drivers in that class, so don’t set too high hopes. Your best bet for goals is to finish every race, and not break anything. To add to what Mike said, prep your kart in between every track session, check your jetting, chain tension, tire pressures, all the little things, it only takes something really small to end a great weekend.
Advice on GJ…
Everyone usually hangs out Saterday Nite outside the pool (more specifically, the bar) at the Double tree, and the best thing you can do is go introduce your self to everyone, there are some great people out here, so do not be shy.
It will probably be hot and windy, expect 80 some odd degrees, ive seen over 100 numerous times in the summer there, and the wind really, really can blow, as to what Bill said, tie everything you want to keep down.
Stock up on water, food, although Stacey and Darren really keep stock of food and drink, you will be using a lot of it, and remember to stay very hydrated yourself, as well as your crew.
Places to Eat, odviously the Double Tree has a 2 decent resturants, there is a good applebees down the road, right off horizon i believe. Pantusos is really good, but the service the past few times i have been has been, terrible….
Make sure to rest up well each nite, the days are very long (7/8 am 6/7pm)
Best of luck
Marc
PS if i forgot anything, anyone feel free to add to thisMarc Elliott

ParticipantThanks Rick!!! It was not a bad weekend all things considered. We should have tested the weekend before, not 3 weeks earlier, the track was WAY different, and everyone fast there was there last weekend, but another lesson learned. Really is fun to dice with Giebler and Morad, Funakoshi, Yop, etc, and pass a few as well is definiatley fun. See you all in a few weeks in GJ.

ParticipantKirk, you mean Craig just so you know.

ParticipantWe would prefer the may dates

ParticipantI like what tom has to say, any possibility to this??? I think that would work for most, would it not?? Moving it up would help us, and a few other CSC guys who have plans that weekend.
Marc Elliott
ParticipantUnfortunatley, I must say that we have made prior plans as far back as early january on this weekend out of state with a number of other CSC drivers attending. We would like to kindly ask to not change it.

ParticipantRoger and Doug are right, lets ALL stop bashing, shut up, and go racing.
Bashing and complaining really are having a detremental impact on Colorado Karting, IOW, we are not as healthy as a community as in years past.

ParticipantWhat does it matter Larry if it goes in the Rental car at the end of a long weekend of racing, (Evil laugh) 😆

ParticipantSee, I agree with 5 races, it makes each race more prestigous, as well as cuts the costs in half. With this many races,i am not sure if we will make the whole CSC due to the fact we also are doing FWT, SoK, Vegas, RIGP, etc etc, and we want to run CSC as we have been running it since it started as its own org (since 03). So that being said, I personally cast my vote for 5 CSC races.
