    Bitter?

I worked in IndyCar (CART, IRL) since 1993 until I moved here. The split did kill it all. I was a huge supporter of the IRL in its beginning. It was sold on bringing american open wheel racers back to the 500. If it wasnt for that many great open wheel racers like Tony Stewart, Davey Hamilton, Billy Boat, etc. wouldnt of ever made it there. It is now exactly what TG preached against. ( engine leasing, street racing, suitcase drivers, etc..) More than that it has become professional spec racing (both series)

Indy became a hard town to work in racing. Teams lay-off staff, and or close shop too often. It was real hard to keep the passion when the job market became sour. My passion for the 500 has died out too. I never thought it possible with my roots in the 500 (grandfather 3 time veteran, uncle 1946 winner) My favorite race at IMS is now F-1.

I really hope to see more american drivers (especially karters) make the open wheel ranks. I wish nothing but the best for all the guys and gals who want to acheive the open wheel dream. Just keep your fire burning for it!

Champcar’s leadership and ladder program is a step in the right direction. Lets all hope something works. NAPCAR will never be an option in my opinion!

Off the soapbox and back to work now!

The weights are set fpr the February race. It is the median weight between SR. and Masters. This weight formula works for this type of event.

Keep in mind that strategy is a HUGE part of this race. Teammates, duration of stints, driver/stint combo, etc…… The goal and focus of each team should be “how do I finish a three-hour race?” The faster karts do not always win these races. The TEAMS that use common sense, preserve their equipment, and run a good pace will be on the podium receiving cash and prizes.

We are already receiving entries. Be sure to get your teams entry in soon. Hot pit choice goes in order of entry received.

    Good luck everyone!

You may use as many sets of tires you want during the race. They must be MG FZ yellows (4.60 x 5 and 7.10 X5). One set of tires for qualifying, and you must start the race on your qualified tires (unless a wet start is declared)

    The Pre-entry tires is for one set at $165.00 ( 2 – 4.6×5 2- 7.10×5)

    Thanks,
