    Mike,
You should have stuck around to help clean up – we had plenty of ribs left over. I have a bunch in our freezer, and I am pretty sure the folks eating at the Mission yesterday enjoyed their meal! Glad you enjoyed the food.

I will take credit for your being entertained at Jay’s expense – even if it was due to my mistake ( it just keeps coming back to haunt me!) I will skip the math class- HAHA, as I have figured out how to make the computer do more of the work! And just so you know, it is always a good idea to double check the points after each race – I sometimes stay up late to get them online, and my sleep starved brain makes errors, I am only human, you know.

You will definitely see us at the track, Courtney and Wyatt are driving now, too – couple of more MacEwen racers to watch out for!

this is what it looks like. EXCEPT, I had her fix the picture of Corey (notice the missing nose piece). Also, it looks like the print is blurry in this sample, but it is just the shading, and is not like that in the real thing.

Thank You Edwards family!! and congratulations on your awards.

Congratulations to all of the winners! I think that it was a great CSC season, and I anticipate that 2005 will be even better.

As for the banquet…. I am sorry about the over-crowded room, totally my fault. I got a late start finding a place, to start with. And just when I found the perfect place….. well, I certainly learned that lesson. 350 people take up a lot of room! I was told we would have enough room, but there was definite miscommunication with the facility owner. Anyway, Thank you all for being patient and working with me. Hopefully the good food, open bar, and nice awards, made up for it. I promise that next year (if you let me coordinate it!) that we will have plenty of room – and I will definitely take many of you up on your offers to help.

Did everyone have a good time? Like the food? Awards? Comments?

I will take a moment to thank several people who did help with this year’s banquet. Thank you to Brad for finding the food, taking care of the sound, and stocking the bar! Thanks to Drew for keeping the program running. Thank you to my husband for spending the day helping me get the place set up – not quite his cup of tea, but he did it without much complaint. Thank you to Mark for bringing a truck and trailer to haul the awards, and for trekking to get the food. And to everyone else who contributed in various ways. It would take too long to list it all. An extra special Thank You to my mom and her husband, Art, and my grandma. They attended all of the CSC, and several IMI events to help me out. Of course, they love to watch Cole race, and spend time with the twins. But they always ended up running errands, posting points, getting lunch, etc. I couldn’t do all that I do without their help.

I do have one more special THANK YOU to everyone who put money into the little gray box! When the kids got done stacking up the bills – there was $345! I never doubted that you all appreciate my efforts. I appreciate you taking the time, and money, to let me know how much. It is nice to be appreciated. I will get that Palm Pilot, and put the rest into a fund for the next thing on my wish list – probably a new desktop computer!

    Thanks again,
    Angie

I have already begun my list of ideas for next year. Things to do, Things not to do, awards, recognition, etc. If you have any ideas or comments, please email me… [email protected]

Relax, Rich, the reason there was not a hotel name listed, is because it is not in a hotel.

The location is a one time business location that was turned into banquet facilities. Don’t look for a big tall building of any kind, it is a single story kind of business mall, where you might find your local insurance business, or travel agency.

There is a European dining place on Wadsworth directly to the east of the building. Starbucks is on the corner of 66th and Wadsworth, the location is behind that, to the NE across the parking lots.

It is also a little less formal than the last couple of years. No linen tablecloths and napkins. Plastic plates and forks. Good food and good fun, though.

I will be away from my computer all day today.. getting ready for the banquet, so if anyone needs anything, please call me on my cell 970-689-0502

    See you there.

There will be definitive procedures next year. Up to this point… “All events except the finale will be run in conjunction with each track’s normal race day, and by that track?s race day procedures.”

Last I heard, it was still a go for Spring. I know that Jim is going to the SuperNats, so you probably won’t get an update from him until he returns. Hopefully he will make an update annoucement at the banquet.

    skipper,

The main events were pretty much hand scored, as the scoring loop was acting up, and missing more laps than picking up. I do have qualifying times ( before the loop failed), finishing order on heat and main, as well as some times from those races.
I thought I had emailed you, if you let me know what info you are looking for, I can send it to you.

Sorry for any inconvenience. And the scoring issue at IMI was an isolated incident, which has been corrected.

    thanks,
    Angie

I forgot to mention that those highlighted in yellow are those who made at least half (6) of the races, and therefore are eligible for year end awards.

Don’t know if you are serious, Freezeman — but just in case – No, I don’t think an overnight is a good idea. We could probably find somewhere close, though.

The awarded jackets will be black with black fleece lining.

If you are interested in purchasing a jacket (because you didn’t win one!) There is an order form with your banquet registration, or can be found here –> http://www.thecoloradokarter.com/csc/banquetmain.htm
These will be royal blue with a navy blue fleece lining. In other words, you have to finish in the top 3 for the season in your class to get the black one. Everyone else can purchase the blue ones!
The cost will be $65 each for adult sizes S-XXL, $50 for Youth sizes
