ParticipantSteamboat or GGP. A temp track is a great equalizer to round out the series. If we’re set on the “no racing on holidays” theme for the CSC this year, then it’s Steamboat.
If we up the series to 6 races, then add in CRE.

ParticipantCurt is absolutely right. This is without doubt one of the finest racing facilities in the U.S., and it’s not even finished yet. I understand that by next year the kart track will be completely landscaped (grass infield), which will be the icing on the cake for an awesome track.
Kudos to Mitch Wright and all the race staff for putting on a great event, despite the tire gremlins. Racers, mark your calendars for next year!

ParticipantA lot of racers in the “built” motor classes like to (or maybe have to) go through their motors Saturday night – with engines marked after Saturday qualifying they couldn’t.

ParticipantHey Geremy,
Welcome to karting! We’re in Boulder – if you want to get together and bench race let me know. We’d be glad to share what (little) we know, at least until the beer runs out!

ParticipantEven better than having the drivers separated from the parents, the parents were separated from the karts! I didn’t touch a wrench all the time we were there! 😀
The Red Bull/SSC team were very, very well organized. An impressive event.

ParticipantI already have all the VP fuel and RC3 that I need – do we still need to buy some at GJMS?? If so, why?

ParticipantRunning in 6th (!!!) when TV coverage stopped at 9pm – with Adrian at the wheel.

ParticipantDoug,
It looks like SKUSA has just provided you with the regionally-oriented sanctioning organization you are looking for…

ParticipantAutosport Werks in Broomfield has a good selection of helmets (various manufacturers), and they are a Sparco dealer (suit, shoes, gloves, etc.)
As a bonus, they usually have a Porsche GT3 Cup racecar in the showroom!

ParticipantCongratulations to Alex and Matt, both! (And their hard-working dads, of course 😀 ) All four of you have given us something to shoot for all season, and you’ve gone a long way toward making our first season in karts a lot of fun.
Actually, Curt, I think Matt has second place sewn up, so I guess you two can kick back and really enjoy Steamboat! :cheers:Alex and Jim – good luck in Oklahoma!

ParticipantAngie,
Is RV parking in a second pit spot, as at GJMS, or elsewhere? (just trying to figure out how many pit spots we need to rent) Thanks!Stu Waterman
ParticipantMoving the IMI race from the 15th to the 22nd would sure get our vote! We’ve already got our Denver GP tickets, so we’ll miss the 15th for sure.
Stu Waterman
ParticipantI couldn’t make the meeting either.
395#, please! I’m carrying nearly 50# of lead to make 410#… 😯
