We just wanted to congratulate the #28 Formula 80 Shifter team of Jim and Alex Doman. They wrapped up a very impressive 2004 CSC series win at IMI with another dominating run. This gives them the 2004 title in one of the most competitive classes run in the CSC.

Rumor has it they will be warming up for the World Finals in OK during the final CSC race, so I wanted to give them their due respect now.

Way to go guys, your hard work and attention to all details has paid off  We loved running with you, and all the other 80 teams.

As far as our team goes, we were looking for a top three finish in points in class and if all goes well next week, were there! 😛 😛 😛

I would like to hear from other teams as to what needs to happen at the final race in order for you to achieve your goals, or gain a championship.

See you all up there, and we hope our purchase of rain tires was a bad investment :sun: :sun: :sun: :sun: :sun: :sun: :sun: :sun:

Tag masters is all but decided. If Jack shows up and gets a top 4, then he wins. Come on buddy, I’m counting on you! Mikey can get as high as 2nd, not too bad for a too tall mortgage guy and Jay still has an outside shot at winning, but he would have to run the same unsealed motor he did last year to win….didn’t think I noticed, did ya?

Good luck to all of you, missing it in the worst way! Remeber, I’m still the champion for another 2 weeks

Thanks for the kind words, Curt. Running with Matt has certainly kept us motivated. Most Saturday nights, before race day, we’d go to bed having just discussed what Matt’s practice times were and what we had to do to be competitive. Then, I’d wake up at 3:00 a.m. and run through even more scenarios. Now that it’s over, I’m looking forward to a little more sleep!

Congratulations to you guys as well and good luck in Steamboat.

We are headed to scenic Oklahoma for twelve glorious days in the motorhome. Hope we can give the big boys a run for their money.

As for your rains, come on down to CRE Saturday. It’s forecast to rain and we plan to get in some wet practice.

Congratulations to Alex and Matt, both! (And their hard-working dads, of course 😀 ) All four of you have given us something to shoot for all season, and you’ve gone a long way toward making our first season in karts a lot of fun.
Actually, Curt, I think Matt has second place sewn up, so I guess you two can kick back and really enjoy Steamboat!

Alex and Jim – good luck in Oklahoma!

Thanks, Stu. It’s been great racing with you guys and watching Chris improve each race. Next year, he’ll be keeping me up at night also!

My only regret is that Chris got Alex interested in go-peds. Did you see Alex’s cuts and scrapes he got while jumping before the pre-final? Both knees, both elbows and one hip. If Chris has any other dangerous hobbies, please ask him to avoid sharing them with Alex. 😀

Seriously, though, it’s great to see all the boys get along so well together. It certainly makes for great times for all of us.
