ParticipantKen, sorry to hear about your health.. hopefully everything will turn out fine.. I can relate to not lifting, I had my neck fuzed 14weeks ago and I am not suppose to lift more than 10 lbs for another month.. there are plenty of people at the races that always seem to really jump in and help anytime someone needs it.. good luck this weekend..

ParticipantScott what happened to you? how come you didn’t show up at Grand Junction?

ParticipantMike,
thanks for clarifying things, I was totally stressed that day with all the chaos and with trying to stay on schedule, we will adjust things for the next event such as seperating the Tag Snr/Masters  ( if the #s are the same)
We just want to have a safe, fun, organized event so all feedback both good and bad is always welcome…

ParticipantMike,
Did you mean the drivers meeting last weekend? I believe we had the drivers meeting at the exact time we had on the schedule… and were about 10 minutes off until the last big crash… we were scheduled to end at 5:45 but my understanding was that the Last main ended at 6:08 I hope Im correct on the times because I was at the Hospital with my daughter… thanks for your input.

ParticipantTodd, thanks for the input.. Anything else you can think of please let me know as that is the only way we can fix problems.
It was really great to have both you and Joe out for the event, what a bad thing to have your insurance provider watching all the carnage ( Joe we have never had that happen in 2 1/2 years 😀 ) Thank God that none were seriously injured…
We really try to give all the drivers as much track time as possible which is what they ask for ( sorry Jim K 40 laps is a looong time he, he,) but to smooth things out even more and get people on the road sooner maybe instead of one 10 and one 5 minute practice per class we should either limit practice to one 10 minute session, or two 5 minute sessions on race day..
Thanks again for attending…

ParticipantGarret, Thank you for bringing all the Utah Gang over! Everyone was so nice and friendly and also very fast. You have been a great supporter of the track and we really appreciate everything…
The flaggers I think were overwelmed, they are the same ones we use for the all our club events but they never have had any serious wrecks to deal with for 2 1/2 years.. We are going to really work on things for the next CSC event and I promise it wil be different..
Overall the racing was awesome!!! (what little I saw 🙁 ) we didn’t get everyone out by 5:30 like we planned but will continue to do everything we can to make it a SAFE, fun event…
Except for one all the kids in the Mini Max class have all raced together for awhile now and have never had any problems at all, I think workng with all the kids on safety with handouts that show what each flag means and what to do if you receive on will help a bunch..
Again thanks for coming over and supporting GJMS, SKUSA and the CSC, it is going to be an adjustment period for all and I think this really opened alot of eyes for both parents and drivers….

ParticipantBill Ray suggested we have a pace kart that seperates the classes and pulls in just like Nascar, Also the pole sitter needs to keep the speed down until the flag is thrown 3/4 down the straight…

ParticipantDon, just to let you know I believe out of the 9 Mini Max’s all but 1 had faster qualifing times than the Animals and Comers…

ParticipantTodd, thanks for the imput.. It was tough on us as a track owner when we have only seen 2 upside down in 2 1/2 years of operation… We are going to implement a training class for kids and beginners every Sat, prior to an event with handouts available defining what each flag means and what to do when a driver receives a yellow, red, blue etc…

ParticipantElle May, Unfortunatly I have to agree with you, we take full responsibility for what took place. As track owners we need to make safety first, I think this weekend was a wakeup call to all of us, we are so lucky know one was seriously hurt.. Our next event you will see major changes, with both my kids being involved in 2 of the serious accidents it is heartbraking to watch something like that happen, so I can personaly relate to what you are saying, again sorry for the rough weekend….

ParticipantDuff, we are in the same boat, 1 kart totally destroyed and another in pretty bad shape.. But I would pay a 100 times that to keep the kids safe…. Tristans helmet is also toast but like you said they did their job… Glad your ok, thanks for coming over sorry you had such bad luck…

ParticipantChaz, racing was awesome, the crashes were scary!! Thanks to all that attended, the racing was incredible but all the scary crashes made it a long day of us… How about Donal putting it to them in the Tag Sr. until he and a lapper tangled with only a few laps to go, and AJ Noud back on top in his old GP colors after a fierce battle with his ex-teammate Alan rudolph, Jake Snider moving thru the pack after an awesome 2nd place in qualifing. Also Mike Cunningham taking the win in G-1 over Jeffrey Rein and Mike Adcock coming from the back of the pack to run everyone down for 3rd..

ParticipantMitch Cobb won Tag Jr with a last lap pass on David Chappel…
Donal had the Tag Snr win until a lapper snagged both him and Alan Rudolph, Donal could not restart but Alan got going to finish 2nd.stacey cook
