Gayle and family,

My condolences to you and your family for this tragic loss. I never met Rich but saw him several times at the track, and have been following his story for the last 10 months. I can only imagine what you have gone through and I wanted to let you know that my heart and prayers are with you. The support of the local and national karting community is second to none, and please know that we stand behind you and will be there for anything you need.

How ’bout a mid-80s Merc diesel? I’ve owned a few, and they’re bulletproof, durable, and cheap. Plus, it’s helpful to have a 500 lb battering ram under the hood when the need arises!

Sorry, a Schumacher fan here. I won’t race on anything with less than 4 wheels (it’s a self-preservation thing…). But an impressive career nonetheless!

Wonder if Jim would let us race in the snow on our wets? Has anyone tried it?

Like I said, I used to do that on my Jeep when I pulled the plug wires apart when doing a plug/points/rotor/cap replacement (ahh, those were the days), but thought that on the kart it was a no-no due to the vibration and high revs. Hmmm, maybe someone will have a better idea.

If you order a new coil, does it come with the plug wire installed?

I wish I could get this on my PS3 Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. It’s about the only way I will be able to drive an F430 on that track…

I went by the track last week and they said sometime in February. This is the TTAC club series, not the Rotax, as it once was.

Here’s the schedule, one drop:

• Race #4 July 12, 2009
• Race #5 August 23, 2009
• Race #6 September 27, 2009

Thanks Jim. We’re just going to do your Mile High Challenge club race series this year. Once I get my DD2 I will be interested in the RMax-specific racing.

OK, ok, I’ll stop being lazy and drain the karts today. I was not aware that antifreeze attacks asphalt. I run straight distilled water anyhow.
