This is for next year not this year 2013 schedule. I think they are changing the schedule so there not in conflict with the F1 race. And again this would be a great idea so that the F1 fans could go to the race and the F1 drivers could possibly stay in the US and race in Vegas? I’m not sure of the F1 rules with the drivers being able to participate in a kart race like Vegas during the season. Dose next years F1 race in Texas fall on the same date as this year? If so than it would make perfect sence why Tom pulled this rabbit out of his hat. Not sure what’s going on but I hope it’s not a typo and that F1 drivers will have a chance to race In Vegas or at very least be able to attend it would be great for karting. Not to mention we won’t have to pick between Vegas or Texas. We can do both. -:)

?????? Did they move dates or is this a miss print. Makes sense to have Nats the week after so that some of the F1 guys could stay and play in Vegas.

With the final stage of the 2012 Superkarts! USA Pro Tour series just around the corner – SuperNationals XVI on November 14-18 in Las Vegas, Nevada – the schedule for next year’s national series has now been confirmed. As the final plans are coming together to welcome another record-breaking number of drivers to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for this year’s SuperNats, the SKUSA staff has been working overtime to ensure that they can give the teams and drivers the chance to prepare for the upcoming season as well. The first step in the process is the announcement of the Pro Tour dates for 2013. Superkarts! USA is pleased to be able to release the confirmed schedule for the 2013 Pro Tour:

Superkarts! USA Pro Tour 2013 Schedule
    SpringNationals – April 12-14
    SummerNationals – July 19-21
    SuperNationals – November 20-24

The past three seasons have seen a growth at each and every event on the Pro Tour calendar, and 2013 should be no different. The SKUSA SpringNationals will be scheduled in April once again, moved up one weekend from 2012, staying off the Easter weekend and working around other events that are taking place during the month. The SKUSA SummerNationals remains on the same weekend as it has for the past three seasons, right in the middle of July. The SKUSA SuperNationals, which will be held for the 17th straight year in Las Vegas, is situated the week directly before Thanksgiving falling on November 20-24 in 2013.

A HUGE thank you, to my team this weekend for our success at SKUSA Summer Nationals is in order. I would like to personally thank, Arrow for the amazing new X2, Kart Sports North America, Eric Jones, Richie Buxman, Craig Corwin, Andy Seesemann, Larry Frazier, Berry Lewis, Billet Performance for all your help this weekend and for last months race at Miller as well.

    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the best memories of this weekend was the support from all the Colorado people that were at the race. Every time, I came to the scales or was sitting in tech, I was constantly getting high fives and an amazing amount of support from everyone. So, with that said there are too many people to thank and don’t want to miss anybody so, THANK YOU COLORADO!

Everyone should all be very proud of all there performances and the incredible amount of support from all the teams across the state. Everyone helps everyone it’s really didn’t matter what color your kart was. It’s truly amazing that we just go state to state and have fun in the process with very little problems. Applause…
We are at a huge disadvantage here in Colorado, with karting! Its called winter! We get on the track about 8 months out of the year here and unlike some of the other top programs in the country, who race all year long. This just brings up yet another great point, on how good the talent in this state really is. I witnessed some amazing racing last weekend from all of you. The Colorado programs were awesome!

    Great job all!

Thank you all for the props on the Karter and in Utah 

    Really Curt?

Arrow team is up to 20-23 drivers heading to this race.

What do we have to do get you master guys off the couch and to this race? For that matter, what do we need to do to get everyone of the couch and to this race?

Offer prize money? Tires? Motors? Slow guys start in the front fast guys in the back? Well what is it? What excuse will we have for this race for not showing up drivers?

Pepsi Center was one of the best track designs I raced all year and it was a total joke that the entries were that low, it was a shame. And it was an embarrassing amount of entries considering the event. The TTAC staff did a phenomenal job with setting up and running a GREAT race minus the drivers. It was your loss for not being there let’s not make the same mistake next weekend drivers.

You have no excuses for this one. It’s a TAG race rules and Rotax and whatever else you can run almost any current TAG motor you want. Not to mention if you bring 5 drivers, I hear they will make a class for you. NO MORE EXCUSES!

You have complained about the TTAC going to a RMAX series, well here’s your chance to come race against some of the best Tag/Rotax drivers and Shifter drivers in the country. On a parking lot track with a new direction and a new design.

Colorado you have no excuses! This use to be one of the best karting sates in the country. It’s sad to say that has not been the case the last couple of years! If the track owners and promoters don’t want change racing in COLO than maybe its time the drivers step up. We need to start somewhere before it’s entirely too late.

No more BS, about this guy, that guy, this series, that series, this track, that track. I’m OVER IT and I’m sure I speak for many other drivers.

This needs to be about the drivers for a change. No more finger pointing crap! Drivers need to support each other since the tracks and the promoters don’t. Spend the $300-400 and come have a good time. If I can offer you any support I will, please stop by my pit and ask.

Come out have some fun next weekend and have some great safe racing.

    NO MORE BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s looking like me; Ben and Will are coming for sure. Putting some last minute plans together and plan on bringing several other national drivers, rumor has it possibly 15-20 Arrows drivers alone. Stay tuned for further details. Great chance for some of the Colorado retired drivers to dust off the motors and come play for the weekend, temp parking lot, new track what more can you ask for? Plus its going to be very reasonable $. We will follow up with a list of drivers soon, but it’s over 10 already just waiting for some additional confirmations.

    Thanks for the props 😀

FYI – Gunter, I don’t care what anyone says about me, if they can’t say anything good than they shouldn’t say anything at all 😀

May Tabor Duncan and Nicholas Mack rest in peace. Please make us safe, make us fast and make us first. You’re in my prayers at every race and in my heart always. My season has been dedicated to the both of you and I prey that you have found happiness, lots of love and lots of friends in heaven. Some day we will all see you there. 🙁

Angie, thanks for the props but, you did forget Will Ownen my little buddy. This will be his first Skusa race ever and has come a long way in a short time. I wish him a ton of luck against some great drivers in SR.

See you soon, I will be on the plane shortly heading your way.

All you will need for the older Rotax Is a new cylinder 09/10 and I don’t belive that’s in all classes only ones that want punches to the nationals and to qualify for the worlds. ( I think?) I didn’t take the few minutes needed to go to Rotax.com to confirm that so I’m speculating somewhat. I’m sure Jim K would have a much better handle on the rules for his series just email him.

Since there happens to be several very dissatisfied customers with the TTAC series. Why don’t you try different approach with them? With a suggestions. Maybe adding an open class but, it would have to have X amount of drivers to be worth wild. I think one of the problems with the open class has been lack of entries and tech so you would have to rally the troops and come up with some kind of compromise that would make it happen with a minimum amount of entries or something. One other thing maybe no tech for the open class and you all run together. Rotax would be excluded from this class. Just a thought. Something a couple of us were throwing around this weekend In California.

I would hate to see us loose a bunch more familiar faces and fewer entries. We have had enough of that the last three years we need to stop the bleeding somehow. There are two many choices in CO and not enough drivers. This doesn’t help anyone out, neither the tracks nor the customers, if we loose entries. If it was up to me I would rather see all Rotax/Shifters (I’m very bias) I totally understand the additional cost of this great hobby we love so much in this incredible economy we have here, is really tuff.

There are several great deals out there on equipment nation wide so maybe with the money you will be saving with pump gas you could put that towards the new cylinder for the Rotax. There are several local Rotax dealers here in CO that could change it for you.

I will even go a step further I have two 09 cylinders that im not using. One of them is brand new never ran and the other is used. Email me and I will sell them very cheap to you if that would help you out.

Gunter, thank you for the recognition, I appreciate it very much  We are certainly on a roll here lately and there’s no way I could have done it without lots of help. I really need to thank KartSport, FTK, Billet, Ron Jones (POPS), Erik Jones, David Sera, Chris Deshon, Kevin Loster, Erik Tompson, John Crow, ONE racing suits, and my prayers just to name a few.

I truly appreciate all of the Colorado support, but being realistic we have a huge hill to climb yet and lots of racing left, against some great drivers in both of the series. No doubt we have been very fortunate to this point. I’m sure now we will have a huge target on our back. That just means more practice and testing in the weeks to come. We will need some serious luck and prayers going forward at this point.

For those you who don’t know why I cross my arms, use the peace signs and look to the sky. This means love and peace dedicated to Tabor Duncan and Nickolas Mack, two amazing beautiful children that left us unwillingly at a very young age in horrific accidents. To whom, I have dedicated every race I run, in there memory. Before every race day, qualify pre main and main, I pray to them to safely look after all the drivers and for us to be fast and first. If you want to help me please help me pray for these two children where ever they may be and have somehow found happiness. They may be gone in sight, but they will never be forgotten.

Colorado, I can only promise you one thing. I will run as hard as I can, practice as much as I can and win or loose with class.

Thank you for all and any support.

    Scott 😀

I have driven both and they’re both great karts and they have pro and cons like any kart, vehicle, bicycle, etc… You would be very happy in ether one. Before making a decision on one or the other, I would strongly suggest you figure out which track you want to call your home track. If you live on the south side of town than I would strongly advise you to go with the Birell. If you live way up North than I would suggest you go with the GP. Both Dog House Racing and Rocky Mountain Kart Works put on great racing programs. I have had the pleasure to race for both teams. AJ and Jim would take great care of you. This is my suggestion based on those two karts.

Keep in mind there are several other karts available such as CRG, Shockwave and Arrow, just to name a few others local teams and shops with great support and race programs as well. The most important thing in CO is the people more than the kart. No matter which kart you choose, you need to know more importantly the overall support and the amazing karting family you will be continuing to be part of, here in CO. The Colorado karting family is superb and like no other in the nation!

    Good luck with your decision.

I would be more than happy to help you in any questions that you may have about either kart. You could just PM me.

FYI, to all you other CO Karter’s out there, obviously by changing the direction of the track, it will be a new experience for everyone. So for those of you, who missed the last race there will be no disadvantage or advantage with this second race. In my opinion by changing the direction it will become even a better temp race track than it was.

I truly encourage everybody to try and make it to this race, it’s an amazing facility and you just don’t get the opportunity to race in an infield of a big boy’s race track very often. I could go on and on about the facility, but it speaks for itself. Garages, food, power, showers, convenience, inexpensive, fun, safe temp track, organized, smooth, fast, technical, etc.

The track is fast and technical; it will definitely test your tuning abilities. Not to mention tire management.

I would love to see some of those tag masters come to this race, you know who you are.(Whom participated in the Pepsi Center) Jason, Gunter, Mark and myself would roll out the red carpet and open arms for you all.  I might even consider some sponsorship for a few of you. If that’s what it will take to get your butts off the couch and come play.

Those of you going to Super Nats in November, this is a no brainer warm up race for you. I have recently signed up for Nats and will be using this race to help with some test/tune for Vegas.

    PPRKC Staff,

I had a great time down there at the last race, good job! 🙂 It was fun and safe track and I’m very seriously considering returning for this next race. I do have one question for you. Have you considered changing the track’s direction for the next race? I had spoken to Rodger about this and was wondering if any type of decision has been made yet?
I’m trying to finalize my October schedule for racing and would like to know what you have decided if anything?

    Thank you, Scott Falcone
