With October only a few days away thought it would be a good time to provide a few updates about the PPKRC Oktoberfest at PPIR:
:~ Pre-registration has taken off and racers wanting to take advantage of the free race entry fee ($75 Value) have 20 more days to do so. Those who do not pre-register online by October 17th pay normal registration fees!
:~ If you want to rent a garage space ($50 for half & $100 for whole) be sure to enter that onto your registration form online so that you can get yours reserved…they are going quickly so don’t be left out in the cold, reserve your garage space today at http://www.ppkrc.com!
:~ The Hampton Inn & Suites is our host hotel and in order to take advantage of the lower rates, go to our webiste, and on the homepage click the link to the Hampton Inn and it will bring up a registration page that already has our corporate rate built into it, so no need to do anything special, just be sure to reserve directly from the PPKRC website, not the Hampton Inn website. The hotel has fantastic accomodations, complimentary breakfast and is 10 minutes from PPIR!
We will keep you posted as new updates occur!

I had a great time down there at the last race, good job! 🙂 It was fun and safe track and I’m very seriously considering returning for this next race. I do have one question for you. Have you considered changing the track’s direction for the next race? I had spoken to Rodger about this and was wondering if any type of decision has been made yet?
I’m trying to finalize my October schedule for racing and would like to know what you have decided if anything?Thank you, Scott Falcone

Although I do agree that the fast sweeper into a tight left can cause problems,
running the other direction would reduce the Kamikaze dive bombing.Gunter

You too, Gunter!
Thanks,
ShelleySeptember 29, 2010 at 4:43 am #64414Shelley BaileyParticipantP.S. What’s the problem with kamikazi dive bombing? Ha!!
September 29, 2010 at 2:42 pm #64410Shelley BaileyParticipantIt is confirmed that we will be changing the course direction! See you in a few weeks!
September 30, 2010 at 12:05 am #64415Scott FalconeParticipantFYI, to all you other CO Karter’s out there, obviously by changing the direction of the track, it will be a new experience for everyone. So for those of you, who missed the last race there will be no disadvantage or advantage with this second race. In my opinion by changing the direction it will become even a better temp race track than it was.
I truly encourage everybody to try and make it to this race, it’s an amazing facility and you just don’t get the opportunity to race in an infield of a big boy’s race track very often. I could go on and on about the facility, but it speaks for itself. Garages, food, power, showers, convenience, inexpensive, fun, safe temp track, organized, smooth, fast, technical, etc.
The track is fast and technical; it will definitely test your tuning abilities. Not to mention tire management.
I would love to see some of those tag masters come to this race, you know who you are.(Whom participated in the Pepsi Center) Jason, Gunter, Mark and myself would roll out the red carpet and open arms for you all. I might even consider some sponsorship for a few of you. If that’s what it will take to get your butts off the couch and come play.
Those of you going to Super Nats in November, this is a no brainer warm up race for you. I have recently signed up for Nats and will be using this race to help with some test/tune for Vegas.

THANK’S
ANGEL RAMIREZ.
September 30, 2010 at 3:17 am #64417jedclampetParticipantHey Scott you said you know you are ? We wonder if you were refering to The BRUTAL RACING TEAM ? Sometimes in this sport we dont know who we are ! But we will be racing the IMI finale this Sunday and with a surge in the economy we will go supprt the Cooks at GJ . If were not who you thought we were rest easy and have some fun without us ! JED
September 30, 2010 at 5:46 am #64418gunter desantiParticipantShelley,
With your Kamikaze attitude, you need to get your Butt into a Kart and kick some 😉Jed,
Calm down and relax, the Border War is Utah v Colorado, NOT N.CO v S.CO.
I am sure that The Falcon’s post was intended as an invitation not a challenge.
Not just to you but also Brian R. Mike J. Rodney E.(I think) and all karters.
Scott is arguably this years COLORADO TAG MASTER, he wants to race the best competition.
Take it as a compliment.Gunter.
