ParticipantThanks for the great pictures. What a weekend! Pictures are worth a thousand words, but in this case, you had to be there!
Thanks so much to everyone involved, especially Jim Keesling with the vision and courage to make this past weekend
happen. I’ll be looking at these pictures all day! Wow. Can’t wait till next year’s Pepsi event.Mike

ParticipantWell said Mike,
The triple play! Good friends, great food, and a beautiful
Colorado summer evening. Thanks again to the Robert Hanley
and The Track. Great Sunday of racing to follow. Perfect.Mike Urban
ParticipantSeems to happen when you type a long list. You miss a few.
Thanks to the sponsors of The Track at Centennial, especially the
24 Hours Sponsors such as John Sweeny and his Mobile View equipment. Thanks to all that raced and entered Teams. 24 Hours of challenge without incident, complaint,
or issue. Unbelievable race skills on display. Hope you all come back next year.Mike Urban
ParticipantI will also post more info about what was used in our effort shortly. Special thanks to the
following for their help and support of Doghouse Racing kart 24H.Our drivers – Jack Bradley, Sydney Edwards, Tyler Edwards, and Sam Urban. You gave it 100%. Who says teenagers have issues. This group has their act together!! You are incredible! Sorry we didn’t give you a kart that could be driven to its potential for 24 hours. Next year!
The Track at Centennial, Jim Keesling and staff – technical support, and too many other little things to list. Could not have done it without you!!
Billet Performance Karting, Barry Lewis – technical support, parts, and another long list of little things. Even when you were on vacation, you just had to check in! Barry, thanks!
John Bradley – always a pleasure to work with you. Too many things to list, but without you, we would not have raced, or finished. I know how your back feels after lifting that kart on its stand 100 times. Thanks for listening to some of my crazy ideas.
Mike Edwards – new to our team this year. You didn’t give up on me, even after I hit you accidentally in the head with our pit sign in hour one. Also too many things to list. Thanks to you, another guy with a sore back Monday morning!! A pleasure to work with you as well!
The Bradley and Edwards families – support, energy, and food. Thanks!
The Urban family – support, energy, food, and a loving wife who lets her husband do some pretty crazy things!
Imagewerx Photography, Mitch Bowers – encouragement and great photos! Thanks!
Brian Robson – encouragement and technical support. Thanks!
Bad News Karters – chain support after our last one broke. Barry, more thanks and a story to follow.
Lindsay Brewer and family – data recording and hospitality. Thanks!
Brian Sedlack – data recording and energy when we needed it. Thanks!
Batman and Robin – how do you beat having the chance to race Super Heros!
The race fans – thanks to all that came out. I was blown away by the number of fans watching late into Saturday night, and again to the finish on Sunday. An apology to all that I pushed out of our pit space during the race. Our exhaust heats to 1400 + degrees. I didn’t want to have anyone get burned. Your energy and support to kart racing makes it all worth while.
361 more days to get ready!

ParticipantCongratulations to Mike and his Team,
You guys are tough!! You forgot to mention one thing in your race report.
It rained!! Great run in the wet. You deserve a lot of credit for your great accomplishment. We hope to
give you a run to the finish line next year. Doghouse Racing’s Rotary is planning
already to return next year with hopefully our drivetrain problems worked out to last the full
24. We hoped to push that kart of yours hard, but you proved to be the Team
made of steel. Again, well done. See you at The Track. Also, thanks to Jim and his staff for making the 24 Hours work. Awesome!

ParticipantMe again,
If things are compared to “remember when,” then remember when I could place 6th in The CSC TaG Masters race in
two of the “big field” events of yesteryear. That yesteryear was last year when only 6 karts entered the
two CSC races at TTAC. Sorry I missed the one at IMI, I could have taken a 5th. Mike, and the rest, don’t get me wrong, nothing
better than drinking beer together and solving the world’s problems, but this problem extends past
the “zoology” you speak of. Yes, one Regional Series for all may make the decision of where to race easier, but I think
the premise that this will increase entry size per class and improve the race experience is not backed by recent facts.Mike
Mike Urban
ParticipantExcuse me, but I just don’t get it.
For all that post and complain about turnout, lack of competition, and that the world is coming to an end, a few points from a novice.
It is the economy stupid! Racing is expensive, especially when you have more than one racer per family, or enter more than one class.
Are you racing for the sport, or for something else?
There is more quality racing in Colorado than most people can take advantage of.
If you think there is no one to race against in Colorado, look into the mirror. How about enjoying the sport for what
it is, and see what you can accomplish yourself. It isn’t the track owners that are the problem.
If you choose not to race, try to get out when you can and encourage those that do.
We can all make it better.

ParticipantDoghouse Racing will once again field at least one entry in the 24 Hours at The Track. Details are classified at this time.
All I can say is that it should once again be an absolute blast. Less than a month to go before the flag drops.
Hope to see you there. You have to experience it to know how great an event this is.
Don’t miss out, enter a Team! It will be an incredible 24 hours!Mike Urban
ParticipantRich,
Keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.
Mike Urban
ParticipantRoger,
Good luck with your goals and dreams. It was a pleasure to get to know you this past season. I love to watch you race. I thought you might like these photos of you and Jim I took at the 24 Hour Race last June. Team Ironman – 1191 laps. Amazing! File size is too large to send through the Karter, so email me, and I’ll send you the originals. Merry Christmas and hope to see you often in a great 2009.
Mike
[email protected]As for Sam and my goals, they are to continue to learn more about these little machines called karts, have fun, compete with some great drivers, drive fast, and be safe. We can’t wait for the light to turn green!
Mike Urban
ParticipantSam and I hope to be there as well on Sunday with two TaG karts for the mix.
See you at The Track.Mike Urban

ParticipantWhat I like about the 24 Heures du Track is it puts everyone a bit out of their comfort zone. It will be one
of the highlights of the summer. Can’t wait.Mike Urban
ParticipantGunslinger Custom Paint does an incredible job. That’s why I had Brian and the crew take care of my needs.
