Hi Joe, I hope to make it to a race to visit you guys some time this season. I head back to Iraq the first week of July so I don’t know just yet when I will make it. I check the forum every now and then to see what you all are up to but never write anything. When I read what happened to Rich I had to write. I hope he is going to be ok.

Hey Mike thanks for the attempt. I really do appreciate you guys sending me goodies from home.

The address for me here is:

    Michael Hurley
    FOB Central
    APO AE 09342

But one thing, I’ll be home on the 5th. So I’d be passing it on my way. We can share the goodies when I see you again. Or, put everything on hold. I’ll be back over here in March. That?s right, just a six month vacation at home and then back to the wonderful umbrella clad drink drinking and pool lounging that is Iraq.

Tom, I’m a little “out of town”. Did I miss something?
    Are you ok? Whats up?

Hey guys, I have a few names to pass to you. These are our young guys that don’t have a family back in Colorado.

    Lucas Fleuri, Florida
    David Scott, California
    Queron Eddie, Alabama
    Fernando Galvan, Arizona

The address is the same as mine.
    FOB CENTRAL
    APO, AE 09342

All four are good guys with very little time in the army. These guys entered the army after the 9/11 attacks. They knew what the military was doing and that deploying to Iraq and/or Afgahnistan was a matter of when not if, and they joined anyway. Like I said, these four are good guys.

I put the state that they are from just so you all would have a bit more info on them. If you send a package to them let them know its from thier Colorado Karting friends.

    Hey Roger,
Welcome home and thanks for serving bro!

    Be cool guys.

Great pic Duff. I can almost hear them.

Thanks for the box too. I got it the other day. I really appreciate it buddy. The chow here is?..well?..lets just say that an MRE is more welcome then what the chow hall has to offer. So, the sauce that you sent is a great help when chow hall food is all there is.

    Take care bro.

    HA!
    I’m glad you cleared that up. I was trying to figure out which way to go with this reply. One of two ways;

“Oh my weapon. I didn’t want to have to cut a sticker in half.”
    or
    “I need more stickers.”

FYI: 1030 am 101 degrees, 830 pm 96 degrees. And its only May!!

Hey Curt, your letter came yesterday with the stickers. Thanks, they look great. I just need to figure out some good placements. I don’t want to waste them. I’ll send pictures of the stickers when I figure some good places. Anybody have any ideas?

That?s a great sticker guys. Thanks.

Charles thanks for running it on your kart. And thanks for the race recap.

Kurt, is it you I have to thank for the sticker? If it is, then thanks a bunch it really is great.

You guys sound like you had another great time at GJMS. The Cook boys do an outstanding job. Great facility, great event, great bunch of guys.

Well, if things stay on schedule, I will be home around the 5th of August. For safety’s sake, Miss Ellie has first priority. But I hope to come see you guys for race 8 at Bandi or race 9 at the Track. I really want to check that one out. Not to race just to come say howdy and bring some post race adult beverages. I?ve got to get crackin? on the house building that Miss Ellie and I are doing in Woodland Park. I don?t have much time. I?m supposed to be coming back over here in March of ?07.

Its been over a hundred this past week and forcasted to hit 110 this next week. Gota love Iraq in the summer…..NOT!

    YOU GUYS ARE KILLING ME!!

Yes its great everyone made it home safe and sound and it would put a great damper on the good times had at the event if not all of us made the trip home. I’m looking for details.

I’m here chompin’ at the bit waiting for the first event to get over with so I can get the results from you guys. (this is me whining, can you tell?) What happened? Who took the wins? Who was robbed a podium finish by a late race move? Did anyone wind up on their lid this time?

    You guys are the greatest!

Yea, home sickness is settin’ a bit every now and then. May 2nd was/is Miss Ellie’s birthday and when I called her to wish her another happy birthday while I’m away the sickness seems to come on a little harder. Talking about all the things she is doing and having to do by herself. She is a good hardy mountain chick so I don?t worry too much. Just wish I was there to help out.

Mr. Springer has the right address. Craig sent a box of karting mags to show all the guys here what kart racing is all about. It helped to explain the difference between concession karts and the types of karts we race.

Kurt, thanks for thinking of me. I will place them in well thought-out places and take some pics to send your way. One more thing Kurt, you leave poor Mikaela alone and let the girl do what she wants. 😆

Mike, ice cold beer sounds real good right now. It?s pushing triple digits outside, and it?s only the first week of May.

Rick, a video would help to show these guys that our karts don’t putt around the track like the karts at the fair. And we all know that the TAG Masters class is where the real action is.

Good luck to you guys in GJ. Be safe and don’t pull a “Duff”. Sorry Duff.

    Be cool.

Hey guys, Rich, Dane, Michael, Zev and Curt. Thanks guys for all your well wishes. 181 days to go, give or take a few days.

Yea, I remember Rich. I hope you painted it bright orange so I can see it this time. :loony: Is the break-in with a new motor on a new chassis? Or, rebuild and same chassis? Sounds like Jim K. is doing a great job at The Track. Can’t wait to give it a try, that is if you guys haven’t worn it out by the time I get home.

Michael, I think you started something with NKN. We will see what happens with the May issue.

I will see you guys in September.

    Hey Craig,

Thanks for the thanks. These people are killing eachother as much as they are triing to kill us. Its back to that belief of “if you don’t believe the way we believe, the true and right path, then Allah says to kill you.”I don’t get it. Just think if the U.S. was this way. It would make the yearly CSC meeting a bit more exciting.

Good luck to you and the rest of the folks that are putting the Greeley race together. It already sounds like a great event.

    Take care Craig.

Hi Craig, Is your son still over here? And if so can he say where?
Its always great to get things from home. My old softball budies in and around Woodland Park said they are going to send a whole bunch of Colorado post cards to me so I could wall paper my hooch.
