ParticipantHey streets,
I’m not sure what you mean by evenly matched folks in different cars. If you mean what if two guys with the same driving skill and one guy has a pinto with a 4-banger and the other guy has a viper, well, they will be in different groups. Even though they have the same skill you don’t want to have or be a rolling road block.Michael Hurley
ParticipantHey Streets and Spencer,
Spencer is right, it is divided more on experience then the car. There is even a “first time ever” group. This group has a little bit of class room time before they hit the track. Then they follow the instructor around to learn the lines and such.
Spencer, Its a bit of both an open track and a school. You can partake in the class or just be placed in a group, depending on your experience, and hit the track when your group is called to the grid.

ParticipantWhat? No questions?

ParticipantSnowman, I talked to Jay in Aug. and he had talked to the folks there and had even driven the route. Thats all I know about that.
Rich is right. Concrete can be very bad for the health of kart drivers and their rides. PPIR has a 1/4 mile oval in the infield, without walls, but if we’re going there we might as well run the road course.
What about a street race? I thought Mr. Shockwave was working on one of those? Anyone, anyone?

ParticipantHey Tom,
I’d be there but the army was a hold of me for this weekend.
Maybe another time.

ParticipantRich,
You’re always welcome to come and take some laps in my Arrow if you like.
Like Tom said, there are enough of us around to help you out with an Arrow. Things that worked, things that didn’t.
I like being able to make a bunch of adjustment to the chassis. It answers my “What makes it go?” questions. But that book…..its great.
Good luck bro.

ParticipantDoug,
I’m in if the army has no plans for me at the time of the event. Come on you Masters class drivers. I don’t think just Tom and I can pull it off.
Duff, practice practice practice, every bit counts.

ParticipantRich,
I’ll do my best to attend. I never know what the army is going to do with me next so I will try. I do have two seasons with my Rotax but only about 15 races total. I would like to learn more and I would help others with what I have learned. Tricks and the “this works for me” ideas.

ParticipantNice.
Thats okay, I’m still havin’ fun. :cheers:If all the TAG classes are for novices, then what do we move to next?
Formula Atlantic would be nice. Can we race those at IMI?
Passin’ would suck with a car thats half the width of the track.I need an emoticon with a walker. 😆

ParticipantWhat? No TAG Masters on the Billet team? Is this a sport for young folks only? Is there something wrong with us older racers? :idn:
We are still fast and most are willing to help the young folks get faster. 😆 😆Michael Hurley
ParticipantGOOD PLAY GOOD PLAY!!!
Good job Bill. I agree with Stacey completely. To bad more of us can’t or will not try to be more like this. :cheers:Michael Hurley
