I ran 23-25 cold temp, depending on how fast conditions were going to build heat and pressure in the tire and how long you were running. I’d run higher for qualifying since it is a shorter session and start lower for the main on a hot day. Coming off the track over 27 lbs meant you were in the losing traction zone.

For the record, the Duro is capable of producing 1.7 Gs of lateral grip as documented by my AIM GPS system.

Happy Xmas to you – throwing in a holiday bonus of a brand new balaclava and brand new gloves (large). I’d like to get these out of the garage please. Make me an offer.

I have 3 sets of 50mm hubs, all different widths.

Two of the sets are factory CRG magnesiums, the third a trick set of aluminums designed and manufactured by our local Welch family back when they had their own chassis.

The mags have been on a kart for one race weekend, the aiums on and off a 206 a half dozen times max.

Pic added – FYI, the shorter ones are $83 each new, the longer ones $99 each new. That’s $360 in the CRG hubs, plus the Shockwave hubs.

Looking to get $200 for the package.

CR125 motor parts can be ordered from any Honda dealer, local brick and mortar or on line.

Since tIme, money, and your wife are involved here, I’d haul the whole lot over to Unser and let them sort things out before making the pilgrimage to a track over an hour away.

Hard to tell if those motors are MOD or stock. You will need to get that sorted out by someone so you know what your path to replacement parts and tuning is.

Add an L0206 powered kart to the mix or replace one of the shifters with an L0206. This way when you get over the initial thrill of 12,000 RPM thrusts towards sharp turns you can learn how to drive a kart.

You might consider having a tuner/mechanic/driver coach come along, even for the first day. This was by far the best money I spent while karting.

    Welcome and good luck!!

Call IMI and ask them – they were stocking the motors last time I checked and the oil to go with them.

Offers? Any takers? The season is coming… you want to get faster? Work with a driver coach and GPS… Even the GPS on your own will tell you a lot about your consistency from lap to lap as well as the continuous speed data during the lap, comparing laps and lines…. a real eye opener.

AIM’s site I’m not able to find a description on – here is a link on Summit –

I went to amsoil.com and searched for local independent dealers – 20 of them came up within 20 miles of my zip code.

Go to Amsoil.com, sign up on their Preferred Customer program, buy at dealer price. The savings will pay for the $25 signup fee. The case of oil will show up on your doorstep 2 days later as they have regional distribution centers.

You just don’t get the over ride credits the true dealers get, but you buy at dealer price.

Brett – I have 3 sets of 50mm hubs, all different widths, to be used to tune as described above.

Two of the sets are factory CRG magnesiums, the third a trick set of aluminums designed and manufactured by our local Welch family back when they had their own chassis.

The mags have been on a kart for one race weekend, the aiums on and off a 206 a half dozen times max.

Let me know if you are interested and we and we can work something out. I’m up in Interlocken area often.
