ParticipantI have meany feelings about all that is being said on this thread, but the one i feel strong about is the idea of going to Miller.
I am sure Miller is a great track, and no dis respect to out west slope racers, but i know has a kid who is fighting with his parents just to go to GJ, going all the way to miller is another war.
Im sure other small/ family teams might feel the same way.Personaly, id love to go to miller, but i have some feeling that my whole family wouldnt.

ParticipantTony,
It’s probably not going to Miller anyway. But if it ever did, you could always throw your stuff in one of our trailers and go race.

ParticipantMG has kicked back dollars, tires, and more to the CSC. Luis continues to be very supportive and is looking forward to being a part of the 08 season.
He also follows the forum here, so “Thanks, Luis!”

ParticipantMiller! Miller! Miller!…………………………….
Let’s raise the bar !!!Lets think about this. What will the CSC gain from this?
A Ton
It will show the rest of the country that Colorado can play within a region as a stand alone series!
It can only draw more entries from around the country i.e.( Utah, New Mexico, Nevada, Wyoming, Etc.).
The Tag World Finals and the Rmax Grands put Colorado on the map!
Now is the time to capitalize on it!
The Goal ?
In my humble opinion is to grow our Sport. To give the CSC away to develop a cash flow to manufacture
a series that will be among the top in the country!!!!A possiblity would be a Race that will be an addition to the current Venues ……..
This Race would be an additional race, but a Special Feature of the series, if you will.
Sponsored by ” MG Tires, KartSport, Shockwave, etc,.”Hey its America !
Build it and they will come ( CSC Regionals 😀 ) , Just ask Brad, Jim, Stacy, JB, ETc,…..
The CSC could become the Trend Setter !!!!
This could be huge for the CSC !!!!!!!“Ok” Im going back to my corner…….. 😆

ParticipantI have a question for JB…..
Will you be making any repairs to the track?
The general concenses is that it’s too rough and hard on equipment.
Just being nonest

InactiveI have been staying in the background reading all the ideas and since I am a 8 yr CO karter I should put my two cents in here.
Many good ideas presented but here is mine:
*put out a yearly on line survey to the CO karting parties, which the CO karting Committee uses to organize the next year.
*form a Colorado Karting committee: racer rep/track owners (5)/Angie/1 or 2 shop owners/tech official; they are the organization body to grow CO karting-club/CSC/Marketing.
*set definitive rules as to how many karts make a class & stick with it: >6 karts make a class
*combine classes on race day where possible
*1 practice round on race day
*one set of rules for club and CSC for all races
*keep trophies for the youngsters, but start awarding gift certificates for older group to reduce costs-tires, gas, equipment coupons, chains, race entry fees, etc.If we don’t form a committee we will constantly have this pre-year bickering and volumes of input resulting in very slow growth of our sport.
See ya in 2008!

ParticipantI see no reason to open up the tire rule. MG has worked with all of the shops, the racers and is the best tire out there at any price. Bridgestone, Dunlop would not even call be back when I tried to get any kind of sponsorship for the TAG Worlds. Thank you MG for your support.
It is hard enough as it is to get people to go to GJMS with the price of gas. This is the “COLORADO Sprint Championship series” keep it in Colorado!! You would not get half the racers we have in the CSC to go all the way to Miller.
If you allow different fuels tech would be much more time consuming and difficult having to calibrate the meter for each racers fuel choice.
The more I think about it I really like the idea of two races in one weekend.
JB Why do you think there are rumors that you are out of the CSC. The racers are tired of getting their equipment trashed. Fix your track or take the real risk of the RACERS deciding you are out, not the track owners. I just spent $225,000 upgrading my track and pitts. You could fix your track for 10% of that amount.

ParticipantOne last idea for the club series, instead of year-end trophies for class champions how about a track pass. There would be no-out-of pocket cost for anyone.
P.S. Alot of great ideas came forward on this post…Thanks for listening. 🙂
Everyone have a great holiday

ParticipantSo Brad, if your asphalter can “fix” my track for 22K send em over, but I would like to only have to do it once, not three times!!!!!

ParticipantI like the idea of a two race weekend. The positives I see are.
1. Fewer weekends at the track. This means I could do something other than race. I also think that overall, it would save the racer money in less fuel needed to attend the races, less nights ina motel for those who have to travel.
2. The potential to draw more out of state racers. We have drawn well from Utah. With the two race weekend, they would only have to come over 3 or 4 times instead of 6 or 8 times. We may get more.
3. The races should be bigger. More entrants means more $$ for the race promoters with little in increased expenses.
4. It leaves more room and available racers for club events. The club races should be bigger.
The negatives.
1. The track owner will lose 1 day of practice money and one weekend of pit spot fess. However, hopefully that losses are more than offset with reduced expenses for staff and the additional rentals they now can get from the weekend they would normally be closed to rentals. I hope the bottom line is a more profitable weekend compared to the profit (or lose) of running two weekends.

I don’t think you should use the paving company I went with, I did not go with the lowest bid, I have a gaurantee and thats why they are fixing the track for no charge.
Call John Owen, he said he could fix your track for a good price. You don’t have to redo the whole thing, only the bad spots. With adding a drop to the series the racers will probably make their own decision on your track.

ParticipantWow,
Best damn race meeting I’ve ever participated in!
A group of racers sitting down and tackling very important issues, like clock work? Track owners and racers offering, listening and coming to reasonable solutions. I didn’t feel we walked away with any loose ends. There were things tabled and excellent idea’s and input from racers and track owners alike.
Quite honestly, I didn’t expect it. No big flare ups! A lot of give and take! No table pounding! More flexibility than I’ve seen, particularly with so many racers with their own agenda’s to deal with. I thought it was very fair. And while everyone did not get everything they wanted, including me, I fully understand and can work within the resolutions. No one tried to push past issues that didn’t concern them to move onto issues that did. Real cool!
A lot of well channeled passion and emotion took place this morning. Definitive answers and solutions before moving to the next item.
No agenda, No power point presentation… Just a group of individuals who really do care about this sport. Looking at it’s direction tomorrow.
Those of you who weren’t there, missed out! You’ll have to wait for the official information to be released. Should have been there! Certainly are some very smart racers in this region, who have a lot to offer and really do care about racing. I feel differently about some of those involved in our sport! I was very cool to see this unfold.
I’m stoked about racing again!
The club series can thrive. The Csc will Rock, better than ever!!!
Again, Wow!
