We had a good turn out and fun racing this weekend. I have sore muscles that have sore muscles from all the good hard racing. We missed all the Rotax of the Rockies TAG masters drivers. Where were you all? Four of us made it: Scott F, Russ, Wright and Richard. Driving TTAC on MGs is a blast and fast.

    Ray,

Says on the site that you can sign up on site Thursday 12:30 to 5:30 and Friday starting at 7:00 am.

Looks like a year long skusa license is $75 and a one time event license is $50. I’m not sure what the race entry, pit fees are. You are required to run Skusa MG Whites which are $212 a set. Test and tune on Friday is $50. When I entered I bought 2 sets of tires, friday test and tune, and race entry for both days. It looks like it was about $100 per race day to enter. I’m not sure what the at the track rates will be.

Stan might be able to answer those questions.

    Leo,

When you get details about tags and shifters at action karting, can you please post them here?

Thanks for a great weekend. My girls had a great time driving the clones. We will be back.

Terry, Did you visit with me, Richard, last Sunday at TTAC?

I had the two clones and talked with you and Greg and his son, I think. Is this right?

    Wow, that’s a great deal.

As I recall, CJKC will rent you a transponder also. Is that right?

I would give it a try! Sounds like a hoot!

I’m willing to spend some energy organizing and helping out.

Finding out what the group wants for basic rules and getting that agreed
Finding out what tracks and helping gather information from the tracks

    Can we get some details?

The last I heard, we are just signing up through IMI. IMI runs Shifters, TAGS, and we are adding the 4 strokes this weekend. Is the PPKRC going to change any of this?

I’m just wanting to be prepared because I won’t be able to test and tune on Saturday, so I will be showing up race day and I want to be prepared.

    Rodney,

Can you call me at 720-253-5024?

If you need a driver for that thing, I can ask around.

    Eddy,

I appreciate the offer of support. Encouraging folks to come race on the August 18 would be very helpful, and make for a lot of fun. The race is held in conjunction with CJKC and will have a TAG class, Shifter Class, and a 4 Stroke class run what you have.

Also, if you would contact the guy who raced 4 stroke at the last PPKRC race to come race with us on August 18th, that would be great.

    Thanks,
    Richard

    Rodney,

I will take you up on the offer of a kart and engine package that works. I have a buddy that is an SCCA driver who might be interested, never raced karts. Does that work for you?

    Eddy,

I’m including anybody who wants to drive an approximately similar package, I am interested in showing folks they can start out in something that is inexpensive and allows for learning to drive. My guess is that most folks would “move up” to a faster class. The clones and LO206 accomplish that very nicely. I built the karts I have with the budget I had. I’m getting my friends and neighbors out driving in them. I’ve also had quite a few folks walk up at the track, and couple them drove. My goal is getting folks interested.
