ParticipantRun it dry on gas but as you’re doing that feed it with WD-40. It’ll smoke but that’s fine, let it run through until the bowl is “dry” and the motor stops. Pull the bowl off and make sure everything is dry as well. Drain oil hot. Pull the starter chord until piston is TDC. You’ll feel pressure…then a little “bump” and then pressure again when turning the motor over. Leave it at the “bump” as this is when both valves are not being compressed. You don’t want to leave them stored while compressed as it weakens the spring.

ParticipantQuick comment on this….if anyone would be able to spare their transponders for a couple racers that aren’t in the endurance race that’d be highly appreciated. We will get them back to you before the endurance race starts. You can message me on here or comment letting me know if anyone can spare some.
Thanks!!!

ParticipantTo gain some interest I will be donating a new Predator 212 motor to the winner of this event!

ParticipantThis sounds awesome!!
Keeps everyone honest as well as basically lets everyone run whatever they want all in the same race.
NOTE: For the bystanders that have always wanted to get your feet wet this is the perfect opportunity to go buy an old 90’s chassis, purchase a $99 Harbor Freight Predator 212 and race/compete with the best out on the track for a fraction of the cost! There are countless possibilities to this and it invites racers of all kinds to participate. You could throw a LTO out there and still be competitive…something to think about for those that have that style of chassis!
Cool idea Rodney!!

ParticipantAlso, just a heads up but I’ll be out on vacation during the Grand Junction race so I won’t be there to take any photos unfortunately. Good luck everyone!!

Do you need a copy of my birth certificate for this? I have some pretty cool aliases I could go by if not. This might be tough figuring Rodney’s is probably etched into a stone somewhere or fossilized by now. 😆

I want to set up a meeting soon and sit down and get some ideas for classes, I know there are few older karts racing at I-76 speedway. I am going to go to kersey days this Friday night because, they are racing karts on the dirt there. I want to see what everyone has for karts and motors. please go like the facebook page milehigh outlaw cage kart racing. we could definitely use some help organizing the club and getting it going.
I went and liked it. Definitely need to sit down and talk about it. I don’t come from the Cage Karts…so I can’t offer much experience on that but the rest of LTO dirt oval I can.
Michael Lechman is the gentleman that gets the I-76 races set up. It’s all for fun but they seem to have a great time.
I would be more than happy to sit down whenever and chat with anyone/everyone about it.
Just note, what you see at Kersey Days doesn’t mean those are the only motor platforms people have. There’s plenty of us that have flatties/ohv’s/2 pokers/rotary and much more. Just never have had a place to run them. Plus a few of us can offer motor building seminars on multiple platforms as well.Mac Frewen

Imi has agreed to letting karts on the flat track. I really want to make this take off. so if anybody has any interest in racing dirt oval please let me know, also like the Mile High Outlaw kart page on facebook.
Ideas on kinds of racing? (classes)
Most dirt oval is Clone based as well as with the Predators which now includes the new Ducar 212. 206’s are starting to make a big entry into the LTO world as well.
LTO chassis are going to be the hardest item to acquire figuring everything is sprint here.
Coming from the south I’d like to see somewhere at least try or open up the idea of dirt oval so I can help out on this if needed. Expectation vs. reality might be spread pretty far. It’s a whole different animal and style which will be hard to introduce but with time and effort, could produce a decent turnout.
Only thing I stress is try to stay away from a tire prep program. That’ll drive away the crowd instantly once they realize how much time/money it takes to get a good program set up.Mac Frewen

I must have missed them there arguments you have been having. If you keep hearing these arguments before falling asleep and after you awake I would bet it means that you should start racing with us again. I have some old 206 seals you can have if your inner Animal needs them.
Did you all ready wreck your new car?lol Rodney bud if I could get back into it without any issues I totally would. Eventually I will though. Until then I get the pleasure to hear everything off the track that I missed before, hence the posting.
Now now Rodney, don’t want to give away TO many secrets of racing lol…..but yes I totally have an Animal we could get the seals back on 8)July 17, 2017 at 1:46 pm in reply to: MYLAPS Transponder with 570 days activation left – SOLD #68276Mac Frewen
