    Chaz,

That’s it! No more Chili Cheese Fries and Cheese Steaks for you!
Please, do what the Doctors say and TAKE IT EASY. We’d love to see you in a thong in 2005! 😈 😯 😀
    Seriously, take care….

    Mike:

You’re right. A lot of things will have to change and a really have to take things easy – at least in the physical sense.

Me in thong? Why Michael you brute….I didn’t know! That’s so cute 😉 .

Rich: You can give me all the shit you want. It’s kinda fun. As for anything to do with the CSC, I have zero interest in doing anything like that. I’ve officiated, and acted in other capacities for 3 years now. I feel that’s plenty. I’ve done my bit. I even decided to forego racing the latter part of ’03 (yes I could have raced at least the last couple CSC, IMI and AK events), to live up to my commitment to help the various programs I was involved with. But as I said, that’s enough.

I got into karting to race, not officiate. Not being able to drive myself is more disappointing to me than any of you can possibly know. However, just because I can’t drive doesn’t mean I can’t race. So I’ll be out there next year. I may not be behind a wheel, but I guarantee you TaG guys that I will be your worst frikken nightmare in ’04.

Loren, it was good meeting you Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you turn laps once your paying taxes.
Dennis, thanks for the help in getting my kart right. Although my Dad said you put something else in the gas tank, maybe that is why my engine was popping! Actually I had a good time and so did the Sr Jansen.

When can we do it again? D, see you at the banquet? I’ll look over my electrical system this week. 😕

After all the problems I had Sunday maybe a Lepurd WOULD be better. Did you hear that engine, you best straighten up!

You should mike, The rev restrictiors before 14k on a tax is no fun when we ran close to 17k at vegas (that was one thing we learned, screw the factory request to limit to 15, we got 2 seconds by 2k revs). You should get a Leopard, more fun. Plus they sound cooler.

Good Lord Chaz! I’m afraid to read your post’s anymore for fear of what will hit you next. Sorry you won’t be racing next season, but glad I will have someone talk to on the sidelines. Get healthy old man, your too valuble to us kart hacks to go down ill. I like the suggestion to see you get more involved in the promotion phase. Maybe you could even get CRE a CSC date for all the hopefuls. Just don’t get yourself sicker trying 😳 Hope to see you at one of the venue’s soon.
Sit down, take a load off, and tel mama to beer you.
    Later,
    Curt

    Mike,
Do yourself a favor and purchase a Maxjet/Racejet Rotax tuning system from Dave Galegor,303-332-3191 or 720-535-9720. The Maxjet takes all of the guess work out of tuning your Max package. Carb tuning and proper gear ratio’s are the keys to the Rotax.
Two of the three tracks involved in the CSC in 04 are long, high rpm tracks where you can take advantage of the Rotax’s power valve against the rpm challenged Bilands and under carbed Leopards; unless the other TaG’s move away from the spirit and intent of their “spec” engines. Even at Bandimere if you can keep your Max above 65 – 6800 rpm out of the turns you have another 34mm of carb flow that they don’t have. There is absolutely no need to cut your Rotax seal to compete in the Colorado TaG class……learn how to tune your engine, your kart and your driving.
As a Rotax owner you now have TWO classes to run in…..the Rotax Max Challenge and TaG. CRE is once again hosting Rotax seminars over the winter, please see the CRE website for the schedule.

Thanks for the advice. I saw the polar bear schedule and will take advantage of it. I surely do need to learn more about air mixture and optimum carbeurator adjustments, etc, etc

Anyone going down to CRE and What session are you leaning towards? I have to keep ahead of all the L’s and B’s and S’s racing next year to preserve tax honour 😀

No kidding! It hasn’t exactly been my month. Things could be worse, but whatever might be worse than the present is too depressing to contemplate.

Sorry you won’t be racing next season, but glad I will have someone talk to on the sidelines.

    I won’t be driving next year. That doesn’t mean I won’t be racing. 😉

Well, I do appreciate the thought. We’ll do everything that needs to be done. That’s a long row to hoe as they say, but I’d still like to get a season in the saddle before the party’s over. So we do what needs to be done: Get the clots disolved, muscle healed, quit smoking, a little change in diet, improve cardio-vascular, get off this damned cumidin.

I like the suggestion to see you get more involved in the promotion phase.

That ain’t gonna happen. I got into karting to race, not officiate. While have no regrets about offiating for the last 3 years, I feel that’s enough.

Maybe you could even get CRE a CSC date for all the hopefuls.

As much as I would rejoice at the inclusion of the CRE track in CSC, it won’t happen. I’ll never be in a position where I could make it happen. Right now, I wouldn’t even try.

CRE and CSC is, for the forseeable future, a dead issue. Dead as a doornail. Tango-Uniform. Singin with the Choir Invisible. I’m not exactly pleased with that, but it is the way things are. Best thing is to let it go and move on.

Anyway, I’m going to try to make it to the banquet Friday nite. How about you? I may not be moving around much but I will be “holding court” at a table somewhere.

Great answers. Not exactly what I wanted to hear, however, I respect your opinion. We won’t be at the banquet, got other things to do. Talk to you later.

    Chaz:

I’m really sorry to hear about your “health challenges.” Please take care of yourself. Blood clots are nothing to mess with…….I know having had a couple of bouts with phlebitis myself. I hear that alcohol is an excellent blood thinner!!!!! Use with extreme care however.

BTW….Colin came home on Sunday and mentioned in a matter of fact tone that he’d run a sub 40 second lap in someone else’s Leopard at Bandimere……..Looks sorta like we might have been in the wrong class last season.

Take care, we’ll be seeing you.

    Wayne
