ParticipantDyno, I think RBI is getting a new one soon.. I will call Richie and see if he would trade some dyno time for a new Hi-Tech Pavesi and some helmets 😀

ParticipantRichie will have his dyno up and running in a few weeks, he can do all the testing and is a neutral party not selling Animal, mini max etc.

ParticipantStacey…….Thanks for checking. I’m up for a road trip to Grand Junction to get this done on a week-end if possible, is anyone else interested? It would be nice to have a Comer, Animal, Flat head, World Formula, and a Mini max…I have several fresh Animals and a fresh Flat head that can be used. Stacey did your friend say what he would charge? I think the CSC should pay for his time and not the racers.
Thanks

ParticipantSkipper, Thanks for the reply………..I’ll work on getting our act together on this side of the hill and get a date set as soon as the Dyno is available.
Thanks

InactiveI will be glad to supply the Comer or two we will be racing for next year just had one done I think it has one race on it and a few practice laps it is a pretty fresh blueprinted motor the other has probably three races on it, you could test it with and without the pipe if you like. How about Farleys Animal and Maybe Whetsones or Don yours was pretty quick. I think we need a couple of Motors from different builders in the Animal class to test HP an Torque as Don had suggested. I know the cooks have some Mini max motors as well that could be tested. I would like to know once and for all what is fair weight distributions for the motors we are running up here. I would also recommend testing them with the specific rules in place ie restritors, pipes ,keyways, clutches, jets, timing, etc….

InactiveFrom this month’s NKN which has an article titled “2005 Engine Preview” shows the FR125 Mini Max at $2495 + Restrictors and aprox. race ready HP at 16, rpm band range of 6000 -10500 with max at 12000. Estimate maintenance costs (based on 15 races) $250. BTW, the FR125 Max Jr. is HP @20 and the FR125 Max at 28HP.
FYI: Puma is at 15HP stock, and 16.4 blueprinted
Parilla Gazelle is 10HP
Animal at 8HP
The World Formula has no HP rating in the article, but does have a rev limiter at 7100rpm and comments say: Growing in popularity worldwide, and is a very reliable and reasonable priced motor to race with.December 12, 2004 at 5:47 pm #48955skipper
ParticipantI have the world formula, It was dyno tested at 15.5 hp. Motor is very reliable.

ParticipantI think that the Minimax, Puma and World formula could run together in the cadet Tag class from the information I have read.

InactiveI bought Roman an ICC shifter package (stock Pavesi) and would like to run him in 125 novice next year. I bought this package based on what ran last year (gamble) so he could get some seat time at season end. Don’t look forward to buying another engine to compete in this class this year. Hopefully there will be some consistency from year to year in the CSC so I can keep up. Still have his old beat up, bent up old Tag Masters rig if all else fails.
