ParticipantWelcome everyone to coverage of round five of the SKUSA RMPKC.
Before I begin I would just like to say that we are working on the livestream, but surprise surprise, its having difficulties working. I apologize and am trying to get it going.
Race Director Terry Bybee is wrapping up the drivers meeting as we speak, and we have a full day of SKUSA racing on the dockett.
**BORDER WAR**
This weekend marks the second Border War race between Colorado, and Utah racers. Regional Director Stan Bryniarski has made a pretty simple formula to find out which state will be leaving with the cup. 1 point is available in each on track session in every single class. 1 point for pole, 1 point for Heat #1 win, 1 point for Heat #2 Win, and 1 point for Main Event wins. Basically which ever state leaves with the most P1’s at the end of the weekend is your 2012 Border War Champion.
Qualifying up next!

ParticipantHey everyone,
I could sit here and type three paragraphs about how great this thing is gonna be, but I wont.
But you do have to admit that just by reading the above post, it sounds like its gonna be a great time. I love a good banquet, or post season get together. Everyone gets a chance to see each other in something other then a racing suit, or a mechanics apron. We get to honor the racers and teams on a season full of accomplishment and great racing. And on top of it all we get to eat some pretty good food while were doing it!
I know its on a Sunday night, but Monday is labor day so stick around after the races and have a good time. Stan (like the entire series) has put a TON of work into this thing, and he does it for the group that gives him the most headaches (besides me), the racers. And if you need a place to crash, or sleep off the night my dorm room is always open.
Seriously, Id love to see as many of you there as possible. Series racer, or not. There is no point, and really no fun at all in “MCing” this thing if Im telling embarrassing stories about Stan to JUST STAN.
Hope to see alot of people at the races next weekend.
Until then,
T

ParticipantEddy,
Interesting date selection.

ParticipantTom Kutscher, David Cole, and several others were witness to you being beat by a very out of shape former racer, and poor excuse of an announcer.
I hear there is even video of the race floating around out there…

ParticipantMy bad!!
Of course the best representative for Colorado this weekend was Mr. Falcone!!
Scott and Richie Buxman tore it UP this weekend!

ParticipantExactly right Curt!
This past weekend in Utah provided the best racing we will see all year in karting (except of course for that week in Vegas), and in nearly every class the Colorado flag was flying high.
Christian’s and Sabre’s runs in S2 all weekend were legendary with Christian picking up the win on Saturday.
Ryan Rudolph and Mianna Wick represented our state well in S5 also.
And Stacey, I feel the same way about getting karters together. If only there was a regional series that acted as a feeder series to the national pro tour that all of our local racers and TEAMS could be apart of. We could call it the Rocky Mt. Pro Kart Challenge, or the SKUSA Mt. Region or something like that…Ah well, a kid can dream I guess.
