    Poor start by Durrant in P2 lets MacLeod slip by. Durrant retakes P2 start of lap two. Durrant gets around Dempster for one lap, before Dempster takes lead back. MacLeod holds off hard charging Deslauriers for P3. Very good racing

    Schureman gets a great start from the second row and grabs P2 before turn one, fends off Bradley at the line for second. Schermerhorn leads wire to wire picks up win. Schimmel fights loose kart.

    I think it should be noted that Mike has been VERY busy in Grand Junction this weekend supporting a tent full of drivers at the 4th and 5th rounds of the RMPKC in Grand Junction.

    Just as when Angie was in charge people in the karting community seem to have this interesting delusion that running TheColoradoKarter is the admin’s only job. Surprisingly enough though, its not. Mike also manages the KartingCoach race team that fields several drivers in races all season long.

    Claimed by several in attendance as “The best kart race they have ever seen” S1 and S2 drivers swap lead and positions throughout the top 7 last ten laps. Kinnear, Schureman and Lerch attack S1 driver relentlessly. Bird holds off for win, while Lerch and Schureman finish P2, P3 overall.

    Curtis Cooksey takes lead at start from Fisher. Lap 3 Cooksey halfspins and jams field in turn four, and stalls his kart DNF. Fisher moves up from fourth after the spin to take the lead and check out.

    Lead swapped at least four times between Deslauriers and Dempster.

    Easily 20 lead changes throughout race in Micro Max. Sometimes three lead changes a lap betwenn Micro drivers. Some of the best racing of the season.
