I think I know the track you are talking about. In doing research the name is a bit confusing for a few reasons but I believe most people just called it “Mead” (as it is located east of Mead, CO). I think the official name was Continental Divide Race Park which is confusing as there was another track south of Castle Rock named Continental Divide Raceway back in the 60’s. I also think the track was originally named Mountain View, and sometimes referred to as Mountain View, however this is also confusing as there was a drag strip not far away in Erie also known as Mountain View.
Basically, I am not sure the exact name, but I think it is one of those lol.
The track closed in 2005 due to the citizens of Mead, CO opposing the track. You can still see it and the bridge over the track from I-25 on the northeast corner of I-25 and highway 34. Is this the track you are talking about?

You don’t have to justify getting into karting to us. It is fun. And yeah, most people think they know how to drive when in reality, they have no idea. Welcome.

Once a week on Sunday nights. Skippy or Miata. Good road heavy schedule with some ovals in either the street stock or the legend. Open to all but some sort of separate points championship for CKT members. That is my vote.
I have heard nothing. Literally nothing. I mean, I heard one rumor and that was that the people looking at buying it had no interest in karting, but I have no idea if there is any truth to that one. So, like you guys, I have heard nothing.
Tom, there are other tracks, why sell the kart?
Anthony, I could be wrong, but I don’t think there is anyone else running the 175cc. We have stock Honda and Open Shifter, both are 125cc.
Very cool. It definitely looked like a kart track when I saw it on Google Earth but I wasn’t sure if it was a “legit” race track or something like a water park, Boondocks track. Sounds like it was neither. It would be cool to find more info on it!
I guess not… I am about 90% sure that is an old go kart track. Would be cool to figure out what it once was!
Nothing? Does anyone else think this looks like a kart sized oval or am I crazy?
