ParticipantIt was sure better than most Stars races I have seen and I think Kurt and Bill did a great job announcing. You all need to keep in mind that all of the fields were full, most of the drivers names you could not pronounce at slow speed, and there was allot of action going on all over the track. I tried to announce at a company function out there the week after the grands with people I knew, and boy did I get messed up just calling the top three.
Kyle earned the coverage he received and his on board shots really showed what a DD2 is capable of.
All-in-all, the broadcast is far better than my GGP ’06 & ’07 CD’s 😳

ParticipantAs karting shows go, I think it was one of the better ones. There are only two or three I think were better (that I’ve seen), the Stars event at Infineon, the SKUSA PMT event in Barrie (never made it on TV but it was some of the best footage ever recorded), and the first SuperNats at the Rio dome for HDTV. In particular, I liked the low angle stuff at the sweeper, it really showed the speed of these little toys. Also, the over head at the chicane was good for showing the speed.

ParticipantI wounder if they would have or sell the extra coverage that didn’t get used in their production for TV.
Is there a copy of Ken Walkers work?
How about the race radio’s web deal is that available in hard copy?
There was two pro karting mouths working the Nationals I am surprised they were not used.
I had hoped the coverage would show me the reasoning behind the Black Flag I was issued with as the officials haven’t been able to tell me why yet.
It was great to see on TV and even better to have experienced that race first hand. That was my best week in Karting out of 27 years of racing, even though the end results were my worst.September 12, 2007 at 10:54 pm #59382RogerBonham

You’re correct Larry. I seem to like to get caught up in the thorns.
I’m critical because I know what it could have been.Speaking with negativity is something this sport needs more of.. NOT!!!!! As an advocate of the sport I have to say that the Altitude coverage was great. It is not often at all that you get to see karting on TV and doing it primetime 8pm to 10pm should be cherished instead of sitting in the lazy boy throwing daggers at it. Anyone can criticize, only optimism and positivity will promote this great sport. That is what the folks reading this post needs.

Might want to bounce that off of the folks at Altitude, unless that was a sarcastic smiley (this works better for that: … 😉 ) :idn:
