ParticipantHi guys.
The heat was full wet. Qualifying sucked, Beard is an idiot. Came right out in front of Greg in the fastest part of the track and gave him no where to go. Then blames Greg. What a dip. However, the officials saw it differently.
The heat was good. Greg started 11, moved to 6th. He had to pass each one and unfortunately, the camera wasn’t on the kart.
Brian did great for his first rain race. He kept in on the track and finished 9th.
Rick, the kart is in fine shape. Lost a nose, spindle, king pin bolt and a steering column. Just the usual stuff.
It’s so cool that so many of you are keeping track, thanks guys.

ParticipantGlad to hear the kart’s in pretty good shape, but how about Greg? No bruised ribs, or worse, I hope?!

This track is brutal. Greg is beat up from driving, not the wreck. He says a couple of Tylenol and adrenalin keeps the pain under control. He says that in the kart, he feels no pain but out, he can hardly breath!

ParticipantIs there a map online anywhere that shows the track configuration being used? What direction y’all going? Looks like the Flying Spaghetti Monster Himself from the air.
I’m guessing you don’t cross the painted lines in the aerial photo except entering/leaving the start/finish oval.
Keep the updates coming. Can’t listen in from work, but can sneak peeks here!

ParticipantWe run counter clock wise. Basically we are following the outside loop and cut across the oval just before the start/finish line. It is like a roller coaster. There is at least 20/30′ of elevation change in some corners. The g loads are incredible.

ParticipantGreat job Greg and Doug fighting back after repairs to finish 6th. Hope you guys have better luck and can make it to the front today. Mike and I are trying to keep up with the action by listening to Race Fan at the shop. Awesome news about Brian as well. Quite an accomplishment to do so well on a wet track.
Regards

ParticipantThat heat sounded a bit more hectic. I think Greg came 6th in that one.
6,4,6 is good for the prefinal, right? Nice Job, guys.

ParticipantWill have to see how the points shake out, but 6,4, and 6 should mean a starting spot around 10th or so for tomorrow.
Tomorrow is a prefinal then a final, so he has one more chance to move up a couple spots before the main event.

ParticipantGreg starts the prefinal in 11th.
Haven’t heard how Brian did today.
