Tony Tony Tony… :bag :bag
Take the MP3 player at the beginning of school and place it in your locker. Then, wait for the UPS man for a special delivery. It’s a set of modified horse blinkers so you can’t be distracted by anything to the side of you. Anything to the back of you and puts your focus in FRONT of you. No matter how much the teachers blow, you’re there to learn.
And that goes to all of you iPod toting, texting in class with your cell phone kids.
Keep it up and you’ll be cheering from the bleachers next season 8) :redmen

ParticipantThanks for the support guys.
Well, the day finished crappy. 18th???????????????????????
Actually, we missed on the jetting big time. A cold front passed, we didn’t get it and the jetting went way lean. It would not get out of the slow corners. Its a shame because Greg said the kart was the best it had been yet!
We’re still in the fast group so we will go out last for qualifying. We go out about 2:30 local time. It will be live on Race Fan radio so tune in.
We got a top 5 kart, we just have to prove it.

But when you are in class what else is there to do besides texting and listening to your ipod. Gerg and Doug best of luck.

Jesse,
Picked a bad time to mis spell Greg’s name. (sounds like something I would do. Lol)
You may want to remind Jansen (who’s step father is a judge) that listening to that 8 track while needing to concentrate in school could result in some future mis spelling him himself. Honour? Maybe that’s the way a closet French spells it? :usa:
What is the world coming to?

french? french? (notice how that word isn’t worthy of capitalizing)
I’ll have you know that being raised in England (my Mom’s home country but now a naturalized citizen of the US of A) and having many relatives still living there I have always spelled it that way. That would be British and not french. Get it straight snapperheads 8)Now, just because I became a spectator (by my own choice) doesn’t mean I cannot race. In Tony’s case he’s already been put in the “academically ineligible/unable to play” category once. I just don’t want to see him there again.
And for the record, I was sick as a dog as a teenager and was told I wouldn’t be racing that weekend. I defied my parents orders and raced anyway (I used my spare bike that was at the shop 🙂 ). Make a long story short, I had to choose what belt I wanted to be punished with AND i missed the following race and had to polish all the brass candlesticks my mom had the day of the race. So kids, there’s a lesson in there somewhere… :loony:
By the way, I’m a purfect speller… when Scooter’s around

ParticipantJust talked to them. The slow group of Rotax Seniors goes on track for qualifying at 1pm our time. Michael Self is in that group because he was one pound underweight in the final practice session, so look for him to put down a quick time. The fast group (which Greg is in) goes on track at 1:20 our time. There is a line of thunderstorms approaching the track, so competitors have been asked to bring both slicks and rain setups to the grid.
They will have the first round of heat races later this afternoon, but they don’t know when yet.

ParticipantI don’t see him in the quick 10 here…
http://www.ekartingnews.com/viewtopic.php?t=73808&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=90Hopefully he is only just off the list and in good shape for the heats. Good luck!

ParticipantHe’s a ways back…
His kart was just staring to come in when two drivers pulled onto the track and cut directly in front of Greg in the fastest part of the track. Tore the kart up pretty good. Both of the other drivers were penalized for it (I believe one of them was the Zack Beard that was penalized 5 spots per David Cole’s post on EKN, but I’m not sure).
I think Greg ended up qualifying 23rd, so he’s got some people to pass.

ParticipantThanks for the update, Jeff. That really sucks. I saw the post about the Beard incident.
Sounds like rain now for the 2nd mini heat and may be dry for the heats a bit later.

ParticipantRock. That’s how you fight your way back to the front!

ParticipantWell, hopefully the camera is working. Watching Greg work his way through traffic consisting of his same class should make for good viewing.
Chassis still usable? Did you go back to the proto type?
Rick
