InactiveWill there be a place for Masters? Mix of old / big & small drivers? Weights somewhere in the middle of Masters and Seniors?
Just curious.

ParticipantYea, maybe make like a Class A or Class B……one for the lighter guys, one for the heavier drivers. Run them together ala ALMS classes for faster and slower cars.

ParticipantHow about an semi open class, no weight and one at masters?

InactiveThat would be awesome. We can’t compete @ 40-50 lbs over.

Doug…I love it. Open it up to the Rotaries, new 4-strokes, etc. NO WEIGHT! We can all drive our karts like they were designed…without 40lbs hanging off the seats. OR…just make it TaG only but still with NO WEIGHT.
I like this concept and want to race…but 500 bucks just to participate is pretty steep for me.
300 bucks entry fee (previously mentioned)
180 bucks for tires
50 bucks for a new can of fuel
20 bucks for Oil(yes, I know these expenses would be split with driver #2)
Since I have no chance of winning and making my money back, would the organizers consider token gifts for the participants like 10 bucks off practice, gift certificates to supporting shops, etc?
Just thinking out loud and I think this is a great racing idea.

ParticipantDo we want one class of 20+ teams? or 4 classes of 5 teams?
The weights will be set at a mid range between Sr and Masters.
Example: Leopard at 375lbs
Keep in mind you MUST have two drivers minimum per team. NO IRON MEN! Each driver will need to make the weight minimum with the kart before and possibly after the race.
Keep the ideas flowing. I am pretty sure on the rules, but won’t be posting them til later.
Stay tuned!!!!!!!

ParticipantI’m interested in participating. Will the race be in Grand Junction or at a local track?

InactiveDoug,
Most kids gain weight in college. You need to show Greg where the vending machines are. You know their should be a minimum weight.November 28, 2006 at 10:53 pm #55531Mike Edwards

Participantyou guys are worried about weight tires etc This is an endurance race who cares about weight after 60 or seventy laps most of these guys reguardless weight are going to be cooked make it fun run what you bring and may the best man/women team win with all the rules some of you ruin it for others that may want to at least try to do the race

Tag only What you don’t think the shifters can do an endurance race??You bringing your shifter out for a couple hundred laps? Better be a Spec Moto or you’ll be doing a top end part way through.

Lets see…… weight….. 10 lbs = .3 per lap. 30 lbs = roughly 1.0 sec. per lap. 200 laps @ 1.0 sec per lap and we’re down 3.3 laps based on weight alone.
Not trying to ruin it, just work out some details to get some of the Tag Masters (largest class in the Csc) to come out and play.
Just thoughts. Not overcomplicating it.
If we can’t keep up we’ll wait for ya to come around and use multiple line changes to block! 😉
