CB Motorsports Partners with CKR for 2019

CB Motorsports will utilize the CKR Stingray chassis as a 100cc option for their chassis line-up in 2019.

December 05, 2018, Grand Junction, Colorado — CB Motorsports made yet another major announcement today, signaling a formation of partnership with CKR Karts USA for a dedicated 100cc chassis for the coming 2019 racing season. With a dedicated brand for each category, CB Motorsport had been missing a dedicated 100cc-specific chassis, until now. With the utilization of the CKR Stingray, the Grand Junction-based organization intends to bring an innovative design to the 100cc racing market.

“I am beyond excited to work with James O’Brien and the rest of the CKR USA crew,” stated Christian Bird of CB Motorsports, “we have been trying to put something together for a couple years now, and have finally been able to work something out.” A new chassis to the Colorado region, Bird expressed his enthusiasm for trying something a little non-traditional with his team in 2019: “I love being the guy in the pits who is doing something different from everyone else.”

Bird went on to explain that the updated CKR kart comes from a four-cycle design chassis, now adapted with a 100cc option. With 30 mm tubing and utilizing just 2 bearing cassette hangars, the Stingray features an altered and properly positioned seat post on the engine side. “This chassis seems like a no-brainer to me,” continued Bird. “With the help of James and CKR USA, we intend to turn some heads in KA 100 this year at CKT.”
