CB Motorsports to Host Introductory Preview Clinic in December

CB Motorsports to Have Introductory Preview

December 02, 2018, Grand Junction, Colorado — Shortly after CB Motorsport’s announcement of the 2019 support program, Christian Bird has another exciting announcement for Colorado kart racers. In order to give racers an idea of how his team is going to be run in the coming year, Bird has organized an open house at Unser Karting and Events, Centennial.

By holding an introductory test and tune/driver development day, CB Motorsports will give racers an opportunity to come out and get a true feel for the team. This program is intended for anyone and everyone, from new racers to seasoned veterans. Age ranges from kid karters to masters racers are welcome, with something for everyone to take away from it. Noting that the weather may play a factor along the Front Range in December, Christian Bird noted, “I’m hoping the weather cooperates with our plans. On the likely event of it being a bit on the chilly side, we will be fully prepared with heaters and hot chocolate in the pits.”

Each day represents a component of the two-part clinic, with experienced Junior racer Liam Letzsch joining Bird on the second day for a classroom style seminar. Bird has no shortage of experience standing in front of group and talking racecars; After spending 4 years as an instructor at the Bondurant School of High-Performance Driving, Christian has developed his own unique style to communicating the valuable information drivers need to pick up speed. “The clinic portion is going to be fun, I love the classroom setting. We are going to touch on a few different topics that should help drivers and tuners alike,” explained Bird. There will be a variety of topics discussed on the second day of the program, from chassis set up, driving techniques, and data acquisition, as well as a Q&A session for racers/tuners to have all their questions about tuning and driving answered.

Bird has scheduled the preview clinic for December, 15th and 16th. Day one at Unser Karting and events will kick off at 10:00 am, and the day two of the program will begin at 10:00 am and run until noon at Tigar Gymnastics and Cheer, located at 4860 Van Gordon Street, Wheatridge, CO 80033.

Cost for the event is $150 per-driver per-day. While both days are encouraged, participants are welcome to just attend one day of the program.
