ParticipantLike Scott, I’d be interested in helping out if anybody (cough Jeff) is planning a go. I’d help with whatever, crewing, driving, or just as an umbrella boy. If it’s the latter I could provide pics of myself in my daisy dukes!

ParticipantI picked this car up for $489.99, I think it might be be able to hang with the 83 RX7’s and the 86 Beemer.

What do you think? Anybody wanna drive?
Oh and that’s my new garage in the background, too. You like?

ParticipantHow ’bout a mid-80s Merc diesel? I’ve owned a few, and they’re bulletproof, durable, and cheap. Plus, it’s helpful to have a 500 lb battering ram under the hood when the need arises!
I can drive and tinker. Has your entry been accepted? I know they get way more entries than they have open slots. PM me and I’ll give you my contact info.

Participantyeah we were thinking like a 190e, 325e, both well balanced cars, good reliable motors, and have a competitive edge.

ParticipantWe have began to calculate some expenses and this fun weekend and we realized those could reach above $3500 for the whole team, so around $600 to $700 per driver…. Not bad at all.
Anyway we are looking for a good car and then let the fun begin. Our Team is called “Sabor Latino” so be on the look out for a orange Habanero like car at the track. It will be pretty cool to pit close to our Karting friends so lets stay in touch for this event.
Lets see how many teams from this community are going to compete.

With safety, tires, fuel, entries… Make that $5k easy. The good news is we are about to do our 4th event with the same car. Once it is built and sorted, the price goes way down. You’ll find that once you put 3 or 4 times the amount of hours into it as you thought, it’s not as much of a throw away car anymore.

ParticipantOh, those of you building a car now or soon, get started so you can test the crap out of it. And pay careful attention to the rules. Give me a shout if you want any advice.
