Superslow
ParticipantPS mike it was watkins glen…….! !!
Now ten bonus points for you if you can tell me what was faulty on the first car he drove a F1 race on causing him to come in early…… !
And another ten if you can name the F1 driver who recommended to his own team to draft him in…! !June 23, 2004 at 2:19 am #47412Superslow
Participantduh….
helps if you post to the right thread…..not just superslow on the track obviously…! !June 23, 2004 at 4:13 pm #47413Mike Jansen
Participant😳
I knew that, Dr Watkins…
I think the car was a Wolf he was driving but don’t know what broke
As for who recommended him it was James Hunt of McLaren who “discovered” how good he was and recommended him.
Correct? Do I get the prize?June 23, 2004 at 5:35 pm #47414Anonymous

InactiveCan anyone let me know the exact locality of this race? I would like to know where the pits are beforehand.
Thanks,

ParticipantHey Dennis,
I kart do you? :bang 🙁
Get a kart then pop off!
Hey! Since you don’t kart you could run a clinic on gas additives that pass. You could call it “Designer steroids, err Designer gas additives that work!”

ParticipantI guess I should post where to go! 😳 Exit from I-25 at Bijou Street and go east. At the first light, Cascade, turn right and go south one block to Pikes Peak. We will be pitting on Pikes Peak and Cascade. Look for someone down there to be directing you into your pit spots.

InactiveThanks for directions, I was hoping they would come some day.

InactiveMike,
I guess you didn’t hear the news? I am part of the gov’t probe to stop all the illegal ‘enhancement’ drugs for EVERY sport. They figured that since I am such an expert at how to get away with it, I could help prevent it.
Are you racing in Rock Island this year? Please do…..
My races this year: 1) Stars East at Charlotte and; 2) RIGP. That’s it.
Anybody have a kart for me to race in one of the CSC events?
June 23, 2004 at 11:43 pm #47420Mike Jansen
ParticipantDennis,
After much searching I’ve found a kart for you to race in the CSC races! Don’t thank me yet 😆
HB Karting in Burbank said that the FFK is now available! William Hanna said that they are astonished by the turnouts Colorado consistently produces in our series. Since the FFK is a kart they would like to promote in this region to counter the GP dominance and the emerging threat of the EasyKart they would let you drive one free of charge. Here’s the catch however: The tires are harder than the MG yellows or YHC’s. And you have to push start it since the batteries are almost non existant but once its going it goes.
Check out the FFK it “rocks”. You can see it on the Cartoon Network. It is prominently displayed on the TV show “The Flintstones” in the opening and closing credits.
William Hanna says to call Hanna Barbera Studios and they would consider it, then forward you to HB karting. The only requirement Bill is adamant about is for you to yell “Yabba Dabba Doo” at the start 8)
By the way, make sure that the Fetzer valve is clean. It is the biggest reduction of power if it’s not clean
8)Yes I want to race Rock Island. I am trying to get everything organized now. PM me and I’ll tell you more.

ParticipantMike,
You are a riot! Has anyone ever told you that you have an overactive imagination? And WAY too much time on your hands?!
:joker
Always fun to see what you are posting, though, so keep up the good work !Angie

I really enjoy watching these two sparring – at least Mike throwing jabs at Dennis. Ol’ Dennis just seems to keep taking it on the chin, though ;-).
I guess if he hadn’t been reported changing tanks after qualifying………. 😯 😯 😯 😳 😳 🙄
I also wonder – while I know the reasons Dennis left God’s country in the first place and am sympathetic to those reasons, why does he keep beating himself up over not being able to race and is so deperate that he would travel back out here on his own nickel just to sit a kart for one weekend?
Geez Dennis, not that I’d rather you not come out for a weekend some time, but there HAS to be some kind of racing out there you can do out there. Lawnmower racing would be better than what you’re putting yourself through.
I wonder though, do they tech fuel? 😯 😯 😯
