ParticipantHey Dennis, just remember, even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut. It was our day and it wasn’t. Greg had the main in the bag when he ran afoul of laped traffic. No ones fault, just a racing mishap. Greg told me later that if had know there were only two laps to go, he would have waited for a better spot to pass. But since the guys had been shown the blue flag, he thought they would be looking for him to come by. He knew his brother was on a tear and knew he was up to second. So he wanted to get these guys between him and his brother for a little insurance. We don’t even know who the laped guys were. Just bad racing luck.

InactiveStacey and Crew,
I don’t know how else to express myself about the last weekend but to say,
CLASS ACT ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!
This was my first trip to GJMS and I had a blast. You sure know how to set a standard for others to follow. Some of the things that impressed me the most were Uniformed Officials, Great Flaggers, ON Schedule at all times, A GREAT TRACK, etc, etc, etc. Your hospitality was right on, and everyone was friendly, helpful, courteous, kind,…. (were you a boy scout).
I especially liked the fireworks during the Star Spangled Banner. Heck, I kept looking around for a squadron of F-16’s to fly overhead.
I look forward to coming out there again, maybe even for a club race.

ParticipantGuys, thankyou for the complements!!! They are greatly appreciated. Everyone that worked the event for us did a great job and I think we are slowly getting the routine down, still have alot to improve on. One thing that needs to be mentioned is the cooperation from all the drivers and parents, everyone was really good about being in the grid area and ready to go when it was their time, that helps so much and if everyone could please keep that in mind for all the events (Bandimere, IMI) that would be great. It sure makes it easier for everyone. Thanks again to all, it was a group effort and also please tell Brad at IMI thanks when you get a chance, he donated his transponders which helped a bunch and made the event that much better.
