ParticipantGee, I am like a windows 95 guy that bought a gold unit. I thought it was pretty easy to figure out which commands to click for the system to create a track map. The manuel is even just written in english so I couldn’t mistakenly use the Pollock settings.
It would be sweet if the Mychron man would put on a nother seminar in this area again.August 14, 2006 at 2:02 pm #54504Anonymous
InactiveGuys you have to generate a map from YOUR data. It is not that hard. How did I learn how to do it
I read the manual completely, had questions read and I called Scott Jessup at AIM and he ran through it with me. He was gracious and I meticulously used the manuals and his instructions. I tackled each program (1 or 2) and then called him.*suggest read th manual & have questions ready
*call Scott-have your micron hooked up to computer and programs on your desktop; if you don’t you are wasting his time.
*make sure you have the updated firmware and allIt is amazing what it will do!!

ParticipantRich,
Someone that has a MyChron 3 Plus CAN use an imported map from someone else that has the Gold. We do it with ours. Cole has a Gold on the shifter, and a Plus on the Mini Max. I download all of the data into the same software, and can use the maps from the Shifter for the Mini Max. I think that is what people are looking for.
You are right, Scott is a great resource.
Freeze, will see what we can do about another seminar.

InactiveThanks Angie, I wasn’t aware of that fact. Now I see why the Mychron 3 owners want the mychron gold maps.
Gee I should sell them for $100 each

ParticipantThere are sample maps with race studio, but it is still not clear to me how to import a map for the Track. It looks like you could just import the file. My Mychron didn’t come with a large manual that explained this.
Does anyone have a Race Studio file that could be imported?
