ParticipantCurt, after 2 mechanical DNF’s in 5 races (and an 8th due to driver error :bang I’ll take you up on the offer of a (few) beers!
Rich, tttttttthe fact that Mikeala has to bring her pom poms and cheer (since her brother didn’t finish) doesn’t make me a happy camper but I still want me 20!

InactiveI like the 20 laps. And it?s not entirely true that it?s all decided in the first 10.
On lap 18 I was three wide down the backstretch with Rich and Rick, each of us looking at the other wondering who would be the last to brake into the hairpin. Rich won that one, which took some guts being he was the one in the middle. :redman

InactiveMan Randall I was scared to death, I don’t think I have ever seen 3 karts going side by side down the back stretch into that 90 degree turn.
I am glad we all made it through with no damage.
Yep positions did change after 15 laps.
I guess it is my old bones talking-maybe I should run in the kid kart class. I will just get a fake birth certificate.
So Mike what was the driver error problem?
Was nice racing with Rick and Randall top notch guys!

ParticipantYup, it was a pretty exciting race. Positions changed so much that I think I raced with just about everybody. Mike ought to write the race report – he always gets the best view from the side of the track. :type:

ParticipantRich,
Grand Junction was the driver error, I went around the sweeper and man handled the wheel and it resulted in bicyling, turn out of the corner, into the weeds, spin, push it on the track (after everyone passed since I was in the racing line) and then drive like I stole it.
The exhaust knuckle worked loose and was spewing exhaust on me and my seat. Now I know what a hot butt feels like! 8)
BTW… can you or should you use blue locktite in a bolt that screws into the cylinder? Anyone? Anyone?
