Well was it hot enough? :sun:

Okay Mike, your the one who demands the 20 laps but you cop out and never do the 20 laps-what’s up? :idn:

You better get AJ N. cranking on your kart!

Okay Preston you did a good job wrenching on #5, I just could not get by him-we were evenly matched. 😥 The CRG-Kali ran very well on used tires!

Tag Masters: This 20 lap thing is a bit much. :bs: The Juniors don’t run 20 laps but us old guys do. After 10-15 laps things are pretty much decided. I really think we should drop it down to 15 laps.

The crowd doesn’t demand 20 laps us older guys do. I noticed that a lot of the Masters agree. So who is on the 20 lap side–Just Mike J. 👿

    Mike, your killing me!

Great time—we need more Newbies out there where are you guys????

Sorry Rich, but I like the 20 lap mains and I think that’s a bare minimum. I wouldn’t even mind 30 laps. It takes too much expense and time to prepare for races then only get to race for 13 minutes (15 laps).

Be glad you’re not racing in California. This weekend the Gatorz Rotax Pre-main was 20 laps and the Final was 33 laps!

ok well if the masters aren’t changing to 15 lap races like the juniors, why not have the juniors (like the 80s) move up to 20 lappers!!! :banana

chris, keep in mind us Jr.s go much slower than you therefore taking up time, and i dont think some of the drivers could do it

You guys want to cut down your laps with only Steamboat and Bandi left on the schedule? 20 laps at these two tracks is like 12 at IMI or GJ.

I would watch out what you ask for.

    CSC,
If the TAG guys want less laps, we will take more in our class.

I just wanted to mention that a s3 was tore down twice yesterday to see if this person was cheeting. Why cant a someone and this someone was a female, be good? why must it always be “their cheeting” She passed both time and still got her first place!! :banana

yeah but i am saying at a place where at bandimere, i think we only ran 15 there too, like that is about a heat race for us, i may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure that is was the same amount of laps, like the club races there last year were 20 laps for lots of classes!

Roman and I like the 20 lap Tag races also. Even running 2 classes this year, we like the track time and it seems like the prefinals are just over in a flash. We do a lot of preperation to race not to mention tires, which are good for a day even running 20 lap finals. If we ran 12 or 15 laps we would still not run these tires for another CSC level event. 2 of our tracks are nearly “road courses” and 2 are relatively short sprint tracks. Both seem like 20 laps should be managable. Maybe it’s easy for me to say standing at the fence. Rich I also understand where you are coming from. From a spectators view (which is basically what I am after you guys leave the grid) your class has had some of the closest, cleanest racing of the season and I could watch that quality of racing for as many laps as you guys could stand.

    Rich,

You’re right even breaking down I am going to vote for 20. Honestly we should only race a lap or two but I don’t think Roman would like that! 8)

Think of it this way: If you’re not going to the gym every morning this is a great cardio workout for your money!

Roman! Great job! You deserved P1. And thanks for throwing in the drama by handicapping us at the starts on the heat race and the main!

    Ellee,
Your post about Chelsea should have gone along with the other thread on tear downs, not here on the 20 lap topic thread.

Chelsea is driving her pretty rear end off and should be congradulated at the end of the year with Rookie honors @ IMI. I would hate to be one of the many boys behind her getting waxed every week.

I will say this in defense of Dennis and the CSC. Every race this year, and every top three motors have been torn down. I have not heard the word cheater used as a motive for these tear downs. It’s what needs to be done to keep the field level in all classes. I am happy Dennis is doing what he is doing. I’m just pissed he has not had the opportunity to tear us down yet. Were getting closer every race however.

BTW. I was happy to hear your name being announced at the trophy presentation Sunday also. Congratulations Girl!!!! Tell your old man to get some sleep. His night job of sprinter tuning is wearing him out.

I suspose this is one way to get controversy, so we can have more dialoug on the karter-it was getting boring with little posts.

My poll is just a interest poll-not a formal request for change. We started off at 20 laps and we stay at 20 laps-that is the rule.

A cardio work-out yes but in 100+ F it is torture. Maybe I will just park it after 12 or 15 laps and still beat Mike. hey what the heck happened.

Roman you need to move up or eat more McD’s or milkshakes–good job and you too Rick!

20 laps at IMI and GJ seems abit much but not at Bandi or Steamboat.

Curt, that is a sexist remark! Keesling has a pretty rear end too, or so they say. 8)

Chelsea gets my vote for Rookie of the year…

Rich, think of it as the Malaysian Grand Prix in karting! And they do it for 2 hours!
