ParticipantI don’t think the racers competing for a club championship should be tripping over racers competing for a spot at the Rotax Grands, and vice versa. A lot at stake from both points of view.
If you want to do both, run spec configuation Saturday, go back to a high grip tire and set up and have a chance at the club level. It’s only 3 races and the mixed powerbands, tires and experience levels will definitely play into the outcome at some point.
I think the Rotax Masters race on it’s own would have been nearly as exciting as the Mini Max.
Thanks for considering this Jim.

ParticipantInteresting proposal. We would fully support either decision. We know it is a challenge mixing the two series. All in all, I thought Sunday’s race went extremely well. Kudos to you and the team. Running Rmax on Saturday also sounds good, especially if some time is still allowed to let the club guys practice for Sunday. In either case, we’ll fully support what you and Brad are trying to do. Keep up the good work.

ParticipantI think it is a good idea, although I did enjoy the experience of a rather full field. Thanks for a fun race weekend. We didnt get overly schooled by the out of towners did we? I guess I shouldn’t say ‘we’ because I got schooled by everyone! Happy to finish my second race! Next time I’ll run the correct gear. cheers, j

ParticipantI think its a great idea Jim. You and your crew did a fantastic job keeping everyone on scheduled. I enjoyed the large field and hairy start :green as it was a great experience for me. However being separate classes and with the Nationals in mind I support the split.

I like the large field because it gets you in the right mindset and gets you used to what the starts are going to be like come August. I for one passed more people Sunday than I have in a year and it was a valuable lesson/tool.That being said, I am not running in the Rmax races so does my opinion really count? I don’t think so… But again, the large field was awesome.

ParticipantPM me Doug,
I can’t wait to here it. I had some good ones too, but couldn’t seem to clean them up enough.

ParticipantRick,
Be nice! I’ve got a video that you gave me that the F… B… I… would like to know where it came from.
BTW… I always bring a gun to a knife fight. Have you seen my arms lately? 8)
And for the record, I did vote for the Sunday thing. I’m being devil’s advocate. Seriously, it should be split because an accident caused/created by a Rotaxian on a TaG guy would and could possibly have huge implications on the Rmax qualifying. And I for one don’t want to purchase DEPENDS for all the whining… Just my .02

InactiveRunning on Saturday would knock us out.
Why can’t you split the Rmax Masters drivers out like the Rmax International was last Sunday? I watched the Zippie team running both races, Tag Senior and Rmax. I know it would add to the race day length, but Saturday would only be the answer if it was established on the schedule before the season started.
I don’t think it’s right to change a schedule in this manner for this reason.

ParticipantSPLIT UM !!!!
Let the Rmax guys run ther own Race, I know that as a club racer I dont want to be the reason one Rmax Guy that was just running his own race is messed up or taken out cause a stupid mistake I made. That being said I defentley dont want to lose a race cause somthing that happened to one of them in front of me or with me and them. The only problem I have with it is, Will it inefer with practice for sunday :idn:
Well as Mr. Jansen would say “just my .02” :banana

ParticipantI guess ditto, sort of.
Like the large field but as I stated in another post it would be very bad for a good racer to get nerf’d out of the Nationals due to someone who is really running in a different class.
I could support a split in the interest of reducing collateral damage from a parallel class. It also might make the club series more of a “club level” rather than a “regional level” which is what it is now.
Another possibility to consider. Run both on Sunday but run all kid/Jr classes in the morning and Sr/Masters classes in the afternoon. That would make the day a bit longer for a few participants, but shorter for most participants. It would also reduce the time waiting between racing for everyone.

ParticipantWhile I voted, I think it would be better if votes were separated by the class you are running. From a TaG perspective I would support the split.
But when the series and dates were established I believe that many of the RMax racers liked the idea of being able to place in the Club Series even if they didn’t make the Nationals cut for RMax. RMax participants should get priority votes.
